Laguna Nivaria Hotel & Spa

We stayed with our 1 year old son, the suite was fantastic, there was plenty of space and they provided a really good cot. There was a lift so we could easily bring the pram to the room. Breakfast was a good spread. Staff were friendly. The location is brilliant. We found free parking nearby easily. We really loved our time here and hope to come back one day.

The spa was closed due to covid. It wasn’t a big deal for us but this wasn’t made clear at time of booking (it does not say on the hotel website either). It was great to have a little kitchen in our room however there were no basic equipment- a sign said 5€ a day for kitchen equipment. This seems a little stingy after we paid for a suite. Just the basic cutlery and dishes would have been good.

I recently had the opportunity to book a hotel stay under quite unusual circumstances, and I must say that the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. My family and I were forced to evacuate our home in Las Barreras due to a nearby wildfire, and we found refuge at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff displayed remarkable empathy and professionalism. They understood the stress we were under and went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth as possible. The reception team, in particular, deserves special mention for their unwavering support. Our room was clean, comfortable, and provided a much-needed sense of security during a difficult time. The hotel's amenities were well-maintained, and we were able to relax and unwind despite the challenging circumstances. In times of crisis, the true character of a hotel shines through, and this establishment proved to be a true sanctuary. I am immensely grateful to the staff for their kindness and assistance during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a safe and supportive haven, and I look forward to returning under happier circumstances.

I liked almost everything about the hotel. My highlights: They let me check in and park my car at 11am - very flexible. Excellent location on the edge of the historic town centre, and opposite an open square with trees. My room was in an annex and overlooking a central courtyard, which meant that external noise never reached me. I was very happy with the trade-off between quietness and lack of view. Underground private car park was well worth the €9 per day. High quality of decor and presentation of public spaces goes without saying. Very, very pleasant stay. Pizzeria Manamme and Palmelita La Laguna were great. The quantity and variety of eating places in La Laguna is astonishing.

I had a couple of niggles about the sound of the fridge and a broken shower hose connection. I was able to repair the shower hose connection myself, and the fridge sound was not a major concern. I didn't feel any need to ask the hotel to rectify these things, they were very minor.

Beautiful hotel and staff are amazingly friendly fantastic welcome at reception and the bar also. We had some sandwiches on arrival they were delicious. Gorgeous courtyard out the back. We had our little dog with us and we were nervous as some hotels state there pet friendly but often are not this hotel is super pet friendly we will definitely be back and so will Harvey also have to mention the gorgeous spa and service there excellent all round

It’s only a small our breakfast was cold but we understand it’s hard to keep buffet food hot

The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was prestocked with amenities you may need like shaving cream and razers and toothbrushes. We got there fairly late and left really early so we weren't able to enjoy most of the hotel's amenities. That said, when they learned we were heading to the airport at 5:30am, they immediately offered to pack us a ready made breakfast.

That the spa with the hot tub closed early. We would have loved to soak in a hot tub later in the evening around 9 pm. In addition, we were very grateful to find a room for me and my parents, but know that the second bed was a removable cot.

The bedroom was very spacious with a beautiful bath . The reception staff were very helpful .The hotel located near main shopping,eating and many historical buildings.Excellent value for money which included breakfast I wide variety of breakfast and various place to sit outside or inside . I couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff .Just a beautiful place to stay .

The only fault would be the cooked breakfast which looked a bit dried up .I do understand not many people have a cooked breakfast hence looking a bit dry .

Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds comfy, rooms OK, parking close by. The receptionist indicated everything very clear and saved us some bucks as we couldn't have breakfast, so they have deleted the costs.

There was a wedding in the hotel. Some guests had to sleep on the same floor with us and moved wedding there, very noisy and very drunk and agresive. Although I have requested quiet rooms as I needed sleep for a very early flight, I couldn't sleep at all. The guest were shouting and running on the floor ( why they haven't been receiving rooms in the same building as the wedding ? ) ? I had to call reception so they come and solved it but after they left, the drunk guys were doing back what they wanted : )

Very good hotel and excellent value for money, perfect position close to the city center and good for exploring, also close to a big parking if you are by car. The staff is very friendly and the hotel has plenty of facilities. Our room was big and had everything we needed, the bed was very confortable and the bathroom modern clean and well equipped.

Almost nothing! The only thing might be that our room faced the car park, but all considered it was still very good value. I didn’t use the kitchenette as I only staid one night but I believe the 10€ charge for kitchen utensils is perhaps a bit high.

The excellent location of the hotel to the historic area on La Laguna couldn’t ask for better. Perfect. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and polite. Fantastic evening meals & breakfast (being English loved the cooked breakfast…. Ok bacon could have been a bit more cooked!!!!) great choice of food. Drinks not overly expensive either which makes a refreshing change in a hotel….. Room was so nice, beds so comfy and spa bath - hit the spot!!!!

Nothing really, as I mentioned bacon a little more cooked but that’s my preference, perhaps a kettle in the room to make an early morning tea or coffee. But that’s just being picky.

Lovely comfortable hotel on the edge of the Old Town. Room was large and the bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked perfectly. Liked having a fridge in the room. Bar area was comfortable and the prices very reasonable ... no more than I would expect to pay at a bar or café in the town. Unfortunate that the Spa was closed due to Covid, but we knew that would be likely when we booked. There's a large public car park to the rear of the hotel, but the secure parking for €9/night was useful and not badly priced.

We had a lovely stay, but we hadn't realised there was a cost to use the cooking hob, which I think is a shame. We also expected a kettle for us to make tea and coffee.
