Meliá Sol y Nieve

The location of the hotel is perfect, in the middle of the plaza in Pradollano. Every room has a locker downstairs, so you can put the skiing materials there overnight. It is a couple of minutes walk to the cable cars up to the mountain. The rooms are a bit dated but functional. Same goes for the gym. The breakfast has plenty of variety. The spa is very large and not too crowded. Parking at around €25 per day, similar to public parkings nearby but with direct access to the hotel.

Value for money is a real issue up in Sierra Nevada. You pay a very high price to sleep up in the mountain. If the hotel was down in Granada it would probably cound 1/4 of the price. The breakfast can be very loud, with all the children running around and plates hitting surfaces all over the place. Perhaps the spa is not too crowded due to its cost (€35 per person). Also you need to book in advance and there are only 3 spa "turns" (1pm, 5pm or 7pm) lasting 1.5h, which should be enough for most.

If you can afford it "The Level" was excellent. We were not there to party, and the Level was excellent for a very relaxing Après-ski. Staff were superb, own concierge etc. The Level is an upgrade with personalised services. Meliá’s VIP service for guests seeking only the best. From their website; The Level guests enjoy an enhanced experience thanks to the additional services and private areas that the Meliá Sol y Nieve offers them. From welcome courtesies and details in the room or suite, to the comforts of the most exclusive and private facilities. At The Level everything is more. We added dinner (as it was inexpensive) and the offering was really good. we felt that everyone could choose something to their liking. SKi locker room was close to the lifts.

Not much. The breakfast room was busy (to be expected). Most of the offering was very good. the Ski lockers could have more hooks etc, but this didn't detract from our enjoyment.

Great location, very clean, good facilities, ski storage available

My room was lovely (good shower too!), breakfast, and the spa (though this is a paid extra which I didn't realise before I arrived). Also, the ski/boot room was big, clean, and plenty of space in our locker for two adult snowboarders (room for both sets of boards, boots, and helmets).

I wasn't happy with the spa costing an extra €30 per visit, at first. But we went there two nights in a row and as it's an extra the spa stays quiet. I think if it was included in the room price then it would be very busy and noisy. My partner and I also had a 25 minute sports massage too. We both asked for "very intense" pressure. He was happy with his massage but mine wasn't the best. I'd preferred a therapist with stronger technique. We had room service on the first night, and there were missing items. No vanilla ice cream with two of the deserts, and no bottle opener for the soft drink. We called down to raise the issue but the missing items never came. However, the experience team did write an apology letter and post under our bedroom door.

the restaurant atmosphere was worse ever! it looks like a hall in a factory. It’s really unbelievable no one ever write something about this! really terrible, too noisy, bad acoustics, too much people, too much tables, running and shouting people….. the food actually was not too bad, but because of the very bad atmosphere you could not enjoy it. Furthermore the female employees on the reception desk were very arrogant and unkind and unpolite.

Amazing location, varied breakfast, spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds.

shower pressure was not the best and also the water temperature was not stable. The air conditioning was not working, just the heating system and the room, although heating was turned off was way too warm. Kids club only available for over 5s.

Excellent Location, Very nice staff, very welcoming, very comfortable hotel, very good food and superb services. Would recommend it for anyone who would like to visit Rome.

Late night dining was not very good and need massive improvement. Otherwise, it should not be services at the hotel, as it ruins the image of the hotel.

The selection in the buffet was phenomenal. Great bar service and snack selection. Live music at night was very high quality with live saxophone player.

The entry to the spa was a bit controlled (not able to go when we wished but had to be booked in) and the lobby was very small for the amount of people entering creating a bottleneck

Great location for skiing with parking and ski lockers. Plenty of lounges to relax. Very helpful staff

I ended up on a camp bed which wasn’t appropriate for an adult as kept hitting my head on the shelf above , I would of thought for 3 adults the room could of been larger at least with a bed settees, we had to ask for an extra towel and robe which brought me to the conclusion that maybe they were catering for a child
