Hotel Bonalba Alicante

The breakfast was extensive and well stocked. Was replenished frequently. Teas coffees fruit juices. Pastries,bread, rolls, meats, cheeses, cereals etc The pool and surroundings were fab. The interiors were clean and very smart. Great Cafetería and poolside bar. Very quiet setting which suited us. However, you need a car to go anywhere. But we hire a car wherever we go so not a problem for us. 10 mins from nearest beach town. Alicante 20 mins away. All easy to get to. Staff helpful and friendly.

The only downsides were the cost of parking which is balanced out with knowing the car is safe and under cover so never gets hot, and the location. It would’ve been nice to have been nearer a town for little supermarkets and bars so we could wander to instead of always getting the car out. We knew the location when we booked but in hindsight I think being nearer little shops and bars would suit us more.

The room was amazing overlooking pool and spectacular views of the mountains The pool out of this world one of the best I have ever stayed at Lionel the waiter was amazing nothing too much trouble for him Spotlessly clean everywhere always smelt gorgeous and clean

The music was not too my taste round the pool too loud and made it impossible to have an afternoon nap even with doors closed and the other Guests staying outside talking till 3am made it impossible to sleep but this only happened on Friday and saterday nights rest of week very quiet and peaceful

I came on my own as my friend was ill last minute it was amazing I felt so safe at hotel the pool is huge and clean and so beautiful there is a lovely crowd at hotel it’s not a party hotel it’s relaxing the bar staff are all so lovely in particular there was one guy unfortunately I forget his name who was there most of my trip and was always so welcoming at the bar ! the rooms are spotless I got the premium room overlooking pool and it’s just like the pictures .if you are looking for somewhere to relax this is the place so peaceful I will be rebooking here again soon.highly recommend staying here.

only let down about the stay was the food it’s very basic not much taste from anything the bar food was far better but the buffet for lunch breakfast etc was not really worth 22 euro it could be much better maybe this will be updated soon !!

the room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, the dinner was really good as well. the check in staff were helpful and polite. we had the romantic pack for February which was nice, although the room looked nothing like the picture on the website, but it was acceptable, not romantic but acceptable. we enjoyed having a cocktail and playing pool downstairs after finishing our romantic dinner, there was music which was a nice touch. the outdoor pool is really pretty.

the hair dryer was awful, definitely bring your own, the staff at the breakfast wasn’t very friendly and didn’t even greet you when they took plates off your table. the spa isn’t something I’d pay for if it wasn’t included, if you don’t have access to a spa and you want a small moment of relax it isn’t terrible, we stayed under 30 minutes our gym’s spa is far better. there wasn’t any bathrobes-so we had to walk around the hotel in our towels and when we left the spa we had to walk around wet even though we had been told there were bathrobes when we asked we were told no.

Breakfast was delicious, but would have liked more fruit. The double sinks in the bathroom were a great touch. The pool was AMAZING. The evening buffet was fab - only €22p.p and we managed 5 plates each!

Location was picturesque, but very out of the way which meant no public transport links to local attractions, resulting in expensive taxis.

Beautiful pool. Good sized modern bedroom and the queen size bed was super comfy. Everything you could want for breakfast and lovely and hot. The main restaurant was not "our cup of tea", but the A La Carte restaurant was delightful and we could not fault the food. We will definitely visit the restaurant again and would happily book this hotel again. The spa was lovely, well worth the extra cost and very relaxing.

One slight niggle. The car park was advertised on several different websites as £10 per night, but they wanted to charge us £15. We let Customer Service at Booking com sort this out for us, so a big thanks to you for your help.

We have stayed at this hotel many times, the cleanliness is excellent,all the staff work hard to make sure everyone is happy and every special requests are met.the only thing is that they have only one disabled parking space outside the hotel, they could do with another one as guests park there with no consideration for the disabled.we only have breakfast at the hotel which again the choice of food is good.thanking you again.

Staff were amazing! Lovely clean and tidy. Very child friendly. I can't wait to go back.

No milk alternatives. No pork alternative at breakfast.

I can find no fault about the breakfast, they have something to accommodate everyone with the selection of food available
