Lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent breakfast

The elevator broke down and we were stuck between the 4th and 4th floor for about 15 minutes. It was scary because several times it started up and the stopped very abruptly with a shudder. We pressed the emergency button and spoke to an engineer. He hung up on us and no-one answered when we tried again. When we got out we went to reception and they hadn't been informed of the incident. When we returned from our evening meal a plate of fruit and a note of apology had been left in our room. Hopefully they will iron out this communication issue, as everything else about the hotel was excellent.

We were travelling by car from Ciudad Rodrigo and wanted a central hotel with a private garage. The hotel satisfied both requirements, plus an excellent breakfast, nice decoration, VERY helpful receptionists and excellent wi-fi connection. Many hotels declare a parking facility and then direct us to a nearby public parking; this one has a private parking in the building, accessible through a lift (!!) where a Mercedes fits but if you drive a large American car you'd better check the lift dimensions. Coming from the bridge by car the hotel is 30 seconds away and easily accessible. From it you can walk to the Cathedral or to Plaza Mayor in 10-15 minutes. THE ROOM HAD A BATH TUB!! (plus the built-in shower, of course)

Well.... I have to be fastidious to point to something. The room had a large safe locker BUT the 6 number PIN had to be set each time it was opened, when in others cases you set it once and for all. The keys of the unit in my room were somewhat worn and sometimes you had to press the same key several times. As a result I once must have entered a code I did not want and when I tried to open, it would not. Reception promptly resolved the problem with a smile but the safe would be better if it could be set at arrival for the duration.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the girls on Reception were helpful, spoke english and pleasant. Also car parking on site which was great.

Everything was great - my only bug bear was poor lighting in the shower -I couldn't see which bottle was which in the shower. I also was sure I had booked a room including breakfast -but I hadn't so that was an extra charge. BUT - the breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruits and eggs etc plus very good coffee and nice mini croissants. Again it is a shame that there was no bar at the Hotel - which meant we had to go out to get a drink. Fabulous restaurant over the road which we were directed to by the girl on reception - wonderful.

This hotel is as great as its reviews; the location was perfect, the room was large with good standards, and the breakfast had significant variations. The option of a garage was a very convenient, quiet room. It´s an excellent hotel I will return to next time in Salamanca.

Very difficult to get in and out of the garage with a full-size sedan car; it´s tight, and the elevator is a bit scary that takes you and the vehicle underground. No option of getting handmade coffee, only made by a machine at breakfast.

The hotel is really great, it is very well located so you are able to walk to the city centre, it has its own parking with spacious parking places. Breakfast is good and the rooms are spacious and super comfortable, and have all the amenities you might need.

The only thing that might be a bit scary is the vehicle lift to get to the parking, since it’s quite tight in there for a bigger car, but otherwise everything was great.

This is a wonderful hotel! Big room, very comfortable true king size bed (78” wide), very clean, hospitable staff that speaks fluent English, big window with great city view, very covid-attentive, big bathtub, nice breakfast in pretty room, quiet street. We were a bit apprehensive about driving our car into an elevator to park, but it worked really well!

Location, very large room & cleanliness. Nice that at booking in they mentioned we’d stayed before. Acknowledge this was on computer but still nice touch. Great secure parking for motorcycle.

Breakfast expensive if you only have that & coffee but plenty of cafes close by. Market café recommended.

Superb hotel in a good location a short walk to many restaurants, bars and wonderful buildings/ architecture.

If one chooses the underground parking be aware of a very tricky entrance. One has to navigate a car lift that takes your car to underground parking - can be some task for large 4x4 or large cars.

The room was a good size for a one night stay and the bathroom was clean, good size and very fluffy towels! Secure parking and location for visiting beautiful Salamanca. Reception staff in particular were proactively helpful.

Breakfast has a wide choice of food but no eggs cooked to order.

The very spacious room, the fantastic buffet breakfast, our birthday bowl of fruit, the fact that we could fully open our window, very large bathroom and toiletries in large refillable dispensers and the hard copy of a Salamanca street map which we used all the time!

Can’t think of anything!
