The house and the appartements are incredibly beautiful and perfectly preserved. It gives you a feel of what it must have been like to live there 100 years ago just with the big difference of up to date standards. You have several great restaurants and the city beach super close and the spacious appartements give you the option to also cook yourself and actually enjoy these beautiful rooms.

From looking at the photos we thought the house is right at the ocean with nothing in the way. but actually the main road runs right between which was a bit disappointing at first. The building is old and it’s great that the general look and feel is being preserved but that also makes it very noisy. If someone is entering the room above you it sounds like someone just came into your room. So nothing for noise sensitive people.

This hotel and its rooms are amazing! Arriving our jaws dropped a little at the size of the rooms and the most warm and well taken care of decoration. After getting used to the size and beauty of the place, it was Laura who brightened our days with her care and great tips.

If you can’t stand any smells, then maybe this old building with its antique plumbing isn’t for you. There are no smells in the building in general, but the bathroom might reak a little when entering.

WOW! What a find in Garachico. We were in Suite 3 and as soon as we opened the door we were impressed. It was a beautiful room, very clean. We had fresh towels and the bed was made every day. The breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day. Laura replaced a hairdryer within 30 minutes and was very informative with activities we wanted to do. This was our 3rd trip to Garachico but our first to the Isla Baja Suites....we will definitively return!

The only issue was the noise from the road but we were up and out early so this didn't really bother us too much.

We chose Tenerife for a last minute week trip and decided that Garachico would be a great first stop to discover the island, and it was ! We are very happy we chose Isla Baja Suites for our three day stay, everything was pleasant. This "casa emblematica", a traditional historical house, is very well preserved and nicely decorated. We had the opportunity to experience two different suites during our stay (one with sea view, the other not) and each was unique and spacious. The bedding was comfortable. We loved the suite with the sea view terrace, it was a dream to fall asleep with the sound of the waves and to get up with such a beautiful landscape from your bed. The suite n°3 with no sea view was also fantastic with its high ceiling and historical feeling. Finally, we appreciated the recommendations (places to eat, places to visit) of our host and the staff who made our trip even more enjoyable.

A few decorative finishing touches to be revised and but it does not affect the quality of the experience

Isla Baja has a perfect location - in the centre of the Garachico - with a short walk to the sea, the main plaza and lots of good small restaurants and small shops near by. The hotel building dates from the 18th century. We stayed in the "Suite Principal" (no. 1) on the first floor - a big room on the back street side of the building. The room was almost 50 square meters with 3 double french balcony doors to the street and a ceiling height of 4,5 meters; Really amazing! The hotel has a an internal glazed courtyard on the ground floor - where breakfast is served. The courtyard is also a café where tea and cakes from the Patisserie next door are served in the afternoons. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We will like to come back next year!

The bathroom was okay, but there was some bad smell from the toilet/shower drain and the several loose fittings in the room, the bathroom and kitchen. When we told the manager, they fixed most of it after a few days - but the Isla Baja could really need a handy house keeper. We also missed a balcony - which we hope to have next time.

The room was very stylish with lots of ancient furniture. The hotel itself is a very nice building with a patio and it is located right at the beginning of the village, next to the public bathes/beach so that from the balcony there is a perfect view on the beachside. There are many restaurants nearby.

We had a problem with insects in the bathroom which was a little disgusting as they were on the towels and on the toilet paper. Breakfast was okay but with little variety. For example there was only white bread.

This is a typical Canarian house with very nice closed patio where the breakfast is served. Our room was very big and nicely decorated and it was cleaned everyday. It is close to everywhere in Garachico. You have to park on the street but it is free and in December there was no problem to find a place. There are only few rooms so it was quiet and sometimes during the breakfast we were alone. The breakfast was ok but not great, it contained mostly the cheapest products. However you could order a nice coffee (even baraquito) and there was always sth to select from (eggs, cheese, ham, cakes, fruits, yogurt, juice etc).

Bed! there were 2 separate beds and only 1 duvet! so it looked like one bed but when you were sleeping there was always a hole between those beds. It is totally ok for me to share a duvet but when you sleep in the same bad. sharing a duvet while sleeping in 2 separate beds - a really strange idea!

Great location in the town and close to everything. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very nice terrace and view.

We didn’t really use the kitchen except for coffee but there were little ants. They seem to be attracted to water so we left the dish towel and rag on top of the dish rack and it seemed to lessen the numbers.

a very old and traditional Spanish building with a quiet central courtyard for breakfast. our suite had views overlooking the sea. the location is great and very close to restaurants, the seafront and good local bus service for getting around. the room was cleaned every day.

with the age of the building you don’t expect state of the art bathroom fittings, but there weee some funny smells!
