The Oasis

The breakfast offered was exceptional and we were served by an attentive and happy team. We have stayed here previously and enjoy the facilities as well as the welcome received by the reception team as well as Elton who engaged with us whilst assisting us with our luggage.

The only negative I have was reported on my previous stay but I found it the same on this trip, is that the window sills outside the room should be swept clean of bird poo, it might not be an easy job but it's unsightly.

The location was great, next to the orange river. The room was big (family room), and the snack and drinks (coffee and tea were appreciated. The room was neat, The staff was helpful and friendly.

We did not have warm water in the room. The staff was accommodating and assisted immediately. They were however not able to fix the problem. They transferred us to the Protea Hotel next door and helped us with all our baggage for which we are thankful.

The breakfast met my expectations and I could even start before the scheduled breakfast time at 7:00, since I had to catch a Flight by 8:30. All staff are making an effort to make the stay as comfortable as possible and friendly faces all round, and a get the feeling that they are proud to be in the hospitality industry.

The WiFi didn't impress me. I would have liked to have an extra coffee pod or two for the coffee machine in the room

Very nice bedroom with balcony and great view. Clean and has microwave. Central location in town

No amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste and shaver. For the price it should have been included. Car park is small and fills up but able to use Protea carpark next door when overflow. Staff weren’t very friendly which put a damper on the experience

The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The breakfast offering was a wide variety and nice as well. Reception and management went out of their way to accommodate me, when they realised that I got the booking dates wrong. It was quickly sorted out. Once again thank you for your assistance, much appreciated.

The property was situated near the river and very beautiful.

The first day we stayed the guy working didn’t even know about our arrival even though we booked before hand therefore check in took quite long. But the other days were much more pleasant as the woman helped us chain within seconds.

Helpful attitude of all staff members that I encountered. Shuttle service to the airport particularly useful. Spaciousness of the hotel, including the individual suites is appealing. Orange River abutting the back of the hotel creates a particular ambience.

The only slight "inconvenience" is having to find lunch and supper outside The Oasis, i.e. not having it provided in the dining area. This means that a stay in The Oasis is not quite a "complete package".

We are so great full towards the Oasis hotel and friendly staff. We had to rush down to Upington after we received sad news that my father in-law is not doing well and halfway we received the bad news that he past away. We did a last minute booking. We stayed for 6 nights and both me and my husband got sick while we we're staying there. During this 6 days the staff were so caring andl helpful in every aspect. Room's were perfectly clean and the food absolutely delicious. Thank you Oasis hotel, you were Angels to us during a very difficult time.

We were not affected by the loadshedding at all which was a major 👍 for us. The breakfast buffet was amazing, really good food. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is central, walking distance from everything

Perfect location right next to the Intercape bus office, a lot of places of interest in easy walking distance. Great staff, perfect big and comfy room. Great breakfast with a lot of options. I would definitely stay there again.
