Duke and Duchess Boutique Hotel

Friendly staff. Location: near the Botanical gardens and the nature reserve we wanted to visit. Walking distance from a good restaurant. Easy Uber to other eateries. Rooms: spacious and well equipped, bathroom was large and well appointed. Breakfast: good coffee, good choice of foods.

This lovely place is a “Boutique” hotel, so let’s polish up the odd rough edge at breakfast: SA grows fantastic oranges, so let’s have fresh orange juice instead of that tasteless reconstituted stuff. Less of the “industrial white sliced bread”, let’s have whole meal/grains/ rye breads made on the premises.

Humbleness of the staff. I was attacked by strong flu on my stay but the staff made sure that I am safe,warm and for that I am humbled. They have made my daughter s graduation celebration so special.I am speechless and certainly given a chance to stay in the area,I will choose Duke and Duchess. I am humbled that in our country there s still lots to be proud of. Value for money, customer care, integrity is all we whish for during these times of uncertainties 🙂 Thank you

Nothing that I can think of.

Rooms well appointed. Attention to detail and ties in with name and theme. Comfortable. Good location near centre of Pretoria with easy access the main highways in a quite suburb. Inviting swimming to cool off on hot summer days. The facility is well maintained and clean. Good off street parking is available which is also under.

Check in could have been better. Otherwise everything great.

We have stayed at this property multiple times. The staff is excellent and the service is good and facilities are great.

There is general feeling that the standards are not what they use to be, the bath was not properly cleaned, the shower door did not properly close, the shower gel was bottle was empty and a few other annoying things the used to be much better.

Breakfast was nice with a lot of variety.

The headboard in the room "Canterbury" needs to be changed because the leather is peeling off. This is not something I did not like it's just a note to manual car drivers who are new at driving: There is a nasty steep hill before the gate that will certainly test your capabilities. Otherwise, the place is really nice, and there is a back-up generator during load shedding. Enjoy.

Everything about Duke and Duchess is 5star from making your booking and them calling you to confirm your booking as well as making sure your comfortable throughout your stay this place is magnificent. The team works together to make everything go smooth their breakfast is top notch.

Theirs nothing not to like.

Excellent overnight stay. Everything was perfect from accommodation to breakfast to staff and facilities. Close to restaurants and our business destination a true blessing. Since this been our 3rd visit to this small incredible hotel on business trips should tell one we love it here.

No complaints

We spent a night at the hotel on my husband’s birthday and the hotel made this really special with a personal touch to the room when we checked in. The check-in process was quick and seamless, the location was great and the breakfast was really enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and made sure our stay was comfortable and memorable.

The bed was small. For a superior room, I had expected either a queen or king sized bed and not a double bed, otherwise everything else was good.

Overall cleanliness of the establishment especially the room and the dining area.

They seem to be understaffed as we had to wait for over 10 minutes at the gate before being granted access. We were told that they were still assisting another customer who was also checking in. For me, this is unacceptable and very dangerous as we could have easily been attacked given that we were just waiting in the car at the entrance for well over 10 minutes in a vehicle bearing foreign number plates.

The breakfast was very nice, I even requested extra mushroom, the room was comfortable and clean. The lady noticed that I was struggling on the drive way and she help me out.

MTN network not working during loadshedding so we struggled to get hold of the host and we ended up hooting at the gate to get attention.
