All went well apart from what is written below.. Breakfast, location and room were all excellent.

My prior payment through Booking.com was missed by the hotel reservations so I had to pay again on arrival. The onus was then placed on me by reception to prove my payment before booking me in. I had no proof of payment on me apart from my Booking.com confirmation which the receptionist rejected as inadequate proof of payment despite the fact that it specifically stated that I had paid. I was obliged by reception to pay the full amount again. This caused a great deal of inconvenience and stress after a long and tiring drive to CT. I think reception could have handled this much better especially as I produced the Booking.com letter stating clearly that payment had been made. Fortunately the manager, Sean, resolved the matter after a day and the second payment was reversed.

Hotel location and setting was excellent Staff and service was friendly and of a high standard Hotel is beautifully decorated and very comfortable

The breakfast service was weak compared to staff elsewhere in hotel You regularlry had to seek out a staff member to order tea/coffee and cooked breakfast options The location of our room was at the back with a mountain view Unfortunately our room also over looked the padel courts which were busy from early to 10pm and much noisier than we were expecting - not a very "quiet" room.

Stayed at the BayHotel for my Honeymoon 1. Location - Amazing location just infront of the beach and amazing view on the table mountain close to everywhere we needed to go to. 2. Breakfast - A lot of healthy options to pick from although it was repetitive but we liked it 3. Polite Staff - The staff were very polite and helpful especially Thembi at the front desk

Upsell accommodation - We were told our room was upgraded only to find at checkout that this comes at a cost of 500 rands per day, we assumed it was a complimentary upgrade from what we booked. Please state the cost clearly to your customers as they might have not have budgeted for such.

The staff were exceptional throughout our entire stay. Even upon our arrival, we were well taken care of. We travelled with our 5 year old son and we were surprised with a special treat for him in the form of his own mini robe and a pack of kids activities, as well as sweet treats on his very own bed which was complimentary. The room was great — very spacious. The robes were amazing — very luxe. The breakfast was excellent — great variety of foods, well prepared meals and buffet options, and very tasty. We loved the multiple pools and the beach club. The gym is also really great. And also, the property is right across the beach and is on a street that has multiple restaurants.

The shower did not have a door which meant a lot of water on the floor and leaving the bathroom very messy. The water temperature in the shower was also a struggle — water was either too hot or too cold, we couldn’t get it to mix. The slippers were terrible — what a letdown 😞

breakfast - was good, maybe just a little bit more variety on the juices would have been nice. location is awesome, this is my second time coming to the hotel and it remains my favorite place. room - the room was nice and clean upon our arrival,

only down side was the towels as we were 3 people in the room we had to constantly request for more towels and the shaving kit (i called for housekeeping, they said that the next shift is coming at 18:00 and they will bring a kit only to phone 2 hours later again to hear they do not have stock and by then the shops were closed for me to go and buy a razor.

Great location, lovely helpful staff, room by the pool with balcony superb. Lovely breakfast looking out over the beach and sea. Lunches some but delicious on a great sun lounger area. The Cape Malay seafood curry was absolutely stunning, best taste ever with some massive butterfly prawns. Such great value and surprised us with a few extras for our wedding anniversary. Thanks to all the tram especially John the Duty Manager.

Hot water from the shower almost impossible to get despite running for 10 to 15 minutes ahead of trying to have a shower

The hotel holds a great spot by the waterfront in Camps Bay, adjacent to nice and crowded restaurants and with a great view – unbeatable location, indeed. The pools are absolutely gorgeous, and rooms are comfortable, with a nice layout. Mountain-facing rooms, however, can be roof-facing depending upon the room number. The hotel has a nice and relatively well-equipped Gym, and a good pool service. Nevertheless, some signs of the hotel age begin to surface, and a maintenance/renovation would be more than welcome. Although the pandemic may have affected the quality of the service, the breakfast needs improvements – options are limited and basic. Despite the cons, I would definitely come back.

As per above: mountain-facing room was actually roof-facing; hotel needs a renovation/maintenance in some areas, breakfast needs improvements.

The staff was extremely kind, also to our toddler. Great breakfast. Great swimmingpool area with different pools and nice (affordably) bistromenu. The best location where you can walk out and you are at the beach and multiple nice restaurants and coffeespots.

Sometimes meals/breakfast in the kitchen would take quite a long time.

Beautiful location. Great facilities. We tried a paddle which was fun. The food was very good, small pools but they were lovely. The pool service and food was excellent. Staff were outstanding - helpful and friendly. Beach a walk away with some shops nearby, so all in all a perfect way to end our two weeks in South Africa.

There is nothing you’d can’t like about this hotel. It’s pretty expensive compared to everywhere else we stayed in South Africa but for our last few days it was worth it.

The staff are the most helpful and polite . We had a room at the front with a balcony view of the sea so it was just beautiful. We had 15 nights in various places in the area of Cape Town two nights in the city centre, we then travelled coming back for a few nights to The Bay hotel which felt like a seaside chill out resort even though in Cape Town. So this hotel was a great balance to a city centre hotel.

A bit pricey for our room but there are cheaper rooms.
