Beach is amazing, best snorkelling in the carribean right off the beach. The water sports facilities are great and are included in your stay. Food is really good here too, a little pricey (as per the carribean). Staff are mostly really attentive and helpful. Our room was upgraded to a hillside Deluxe, which was amazing, I’d definitely book this type of room next time! There’s also a shuttle that runs upon request and will take you up and down the resort as the steps to the beach can be a little exhausting. The resort offers lots of excursions and trips - we did the sunset cruise on the SuziQ sailing boat and saw pilot whales. On our last night, we saw some baby turtles hatch on the beach and scramble towards the ocean! Overall, a truly memorable and special stay. We got engaged here so will absolutely be returning for anniversaries! ❤️

Our Deluxe hillside room (14B) overlooks the road, as the room is open on one side each morning around 7am we would be woken up by the shuttle bus and other guests walking and talking down to breakfast. Also, we got engaged on the trip and my fiancée arranged the perfect proposal through the resort, so they knew about it, but didn’t offer us a congratulatory glass of bubbly - you have to pay for everything yourself here! For comparison, we went up to Jade Mountain for my fiancees birthday dinner the night before and we’re showered with champagne on arrival, chocolates and dessert by our fabulous server (Ned)! Didn’t ruin the experience at all, but was noted.

If I were in the middle of a pandemic, I would want to be stuck at Anse Chastanet Resort. Oh wait, I did! With many restrictions in St Lucia (access to non-hotel beaches or free circulation in towns is not allowed before 14 days of stay as of May 2021), you want your resort you to provide with all that you need. This is one truly gorgeous hotel, with an exceptional location. The quality and niceness of the staff is exceptional (4/guest!). Very cordial reception and thorough public health safety measures in place. We stayed in room 7E, a Hillside Premium Room, with two fully open walls on one of the most amazing view imaginable (see pictures). Large closets, a wraparound balcony, overlooking Anse Chastanet and the Pitons. Little coffee nook with a refrigerator by the balcony. Spacious bathroom, with a huge walk-in shower. Kingsize bed, with a mosquito net and a fan (no AC in the room obviously). The staff uses mosquito repellent incense every night, but the netting is essential. Several restaurant options on the resort, and all are really good. I recommend booking the lionfish 5-course dinner with paired wines; it takes place on the beach: perfect for couples (and helps control an invasive species). You can also reserve lunch or dinner at Jade Mountain, which is a nice culinary experience with exceptional views. The breakfast is very good with a buffet option ($30/person altogether). You can hike around the forest on the grounds with a guide (birds!). You have access to two beaches (sandy, but with pebbles in the water and a fast drop). Anse Chastanet has gorgeous reefs on either side (right side is best) which are perfect for snorkeling (gear can be borrowed). Anse Mamin, is accessible by foot in 15min (beware of falling rocks!) from Anse Chastenet and is more scenic.

Not the resort's fault, but be aware of circulation restrictions: you are a captive (and paying) audience for tours (pricey), and many are not operating (including in the rain forest). There is only one US electrical outlet in the room and it was broken so make sure to bring a type G plug adapter. No pool on the resort.

Stunning location, good food, variety of activities. Fact they kept non residents away from main beach area

felt a little impersonal / over commercialised No effort made whatsoever if you are celebrating a special occasion - not even permitted to reserve a nice table due to the first come first serve policy( unless you pay ludicrous amounts for private dining / jade mountain upgrade) which means having to cut the day short to get to dinner by 7pm or risk turning up with no decent tables ( or even any table available on creole night which is shocking as management should be able to work out how many guests are staying and therefore how many tables required !) Excursions more expensive than other resorts Not enough storage in room

location is stunning, part of the UNESCO Piton site, and built on the side of the cliffs facing the Piton mountains, and on Chastanet beach and marine reef, sand is volcanic and larger grade than usual, so not a problem, sun beds are ridiculously comfortable, and the service from staff exceptional. Restaurant food is catered mainly from the hotel’s Home farm and is organic in the main, (a reason for our stay) the views across to the Pitons are unrivalled, and the entire experience is very special. Rooms are well spaced and situated off a main lane/road that winds up the mountain and ends at Jade Mountain Resort, whose restaurant on top of the hotel is a truly unique experience.

The ambiance of the hotel was a magical getaway for our 4-night minimoon. We loved the two beaches and how welcoming the staff were. The beach huts that you sit under created the perfect oasis to shield you from the sun. Immaculate grounds and the views of the Pitons are breath taking.

Most of the guest rooms do not have AC. While we love the "open air breeze" concept, it simply does not create a cool room. We were sweating every night going to bed which is not pleasant. The ceiling fan does little. I hope the hotel invests in putting AC in each room because it's needed. The meal plan was more expensive than other Caribbean resorts and we felt like we overpaid. The food was delicious at the beach restaurant but the Tree House restaurant didn't meet expectations. Most of the dishes had too many competing flavors. The Indian restaurant is fantastic and we ended up eating there every other night.

Food was very good, beach was wonderful may need water shoes for entry as small rocks bear shore. Dive shop on site. You definitely get a workout up and down all the stairs which is good.

Some of the staff have an attitude problem. Major problem was transfer to Castries, expressly told management that I couldn't taking pounding in a small boat. Said no problem. Time for departure comes they have a small local taxi that pounds in the waves. You can use your emanation to figure how that went.

Setting and tranquility. Individuality, Amazing staff who were always happy to help. We felt very safe which is important at the moment. Everything was well organised without being overly intrusive. Normally we like to travel independently wherever we are on holiday, but realising that it would probably not be possible at the moment we chose Anse Chastanet as we had visited before and knew it was somewhere we could happily spend a couple of weeks.

For us nothing.

Beautiful location, scenery and beach are just stunning! The food is really good - and the variety on offer is exceptional. Would highly recommend this place;

The mosquitos can be a bit hungry - but its a small price to pay for such a beautiful environment!

The best is you get gorgeous mountains and excellent beaches all in one!

The last days breakfast at Jade Mountain they changed chefs. The baked beans tasted as if it was warmed from a can. The day before it was so authentic.
