Santa Grand Hotel East Coast

Absolutely amazing staff at the hotel. Good location with connections to the centre ( bus stop was few minutes walk, subway around 20 min walk).

Very loud neighbours. I had to call reception the first night as next-door guests came in around midnight and were arguing until 1:30 a.m. (stopped after the call). It was like they were in the room with us. The same thing happened every single night. We didn't call reception again, we just loudly asked the neighbours to be quiet. But they did wake us up every midnight.

I love the location. It is nearby the Catholic Church, restaurants, groceries and public transport pick-up/drop-off area. The area is quiet and far from busy streets. The hotel room is good for family and the staffs are so friendly and assisting.

Rooms are not as big as i expected. Area is far away from Metro. Taking grab everytime you go places will be expensive.

Some rooms have solid wall with Skylight, no window... but request for room change was able to be facilitated..

The room (Katong Heritage Suite) was huge with a separate sleeping area (double and single bed), desk area and sofa area (the sofa folded out into another bed which they put bedding on for my daughter at no extra charge. It doesn't have windows that you can see out of but there are small high windows with decorative coloured panes of glass so daylight came in and it didn't feel claustrophobic. The room faces the front and side of the hotel, overlooking the main road, but we didn't hear any traffic noise. The location is great - an easy walk to many restaurants, close to the heritage area, and close to the East Coast Park for walks/running/playgrounds. There's an underpass to cross the large road running alongside the park.

Nothing really. If I had to say something, the shower (over the bath) had a curtain so some water would go down onto the floor where it didn't quite touch the wall. The tea cups provided in the room (nice to have tea and coffee!) are small so you can't make a mug of tea or coffee.

The location was amazing. The distance from the airport and access to the city was perfect. It's near the beach, with many places to eat and drink, and great access to public transportation. I took the bus to most places or walked to the beach and park. My room was a good size for a solo traveler, but I can imagine a bit cramped for 2...especially the glass partition separating the toilet and the bedroom. The room was clean, had a free minibar, Netflix on the TV, and all accessories available for a hotel stay, e.g. iron, kettle, fridge, etc... The staff was warm and welcoming and made it possible for the room to be cleaned after my long flight and early arrival.

Great location for trips by public transport. Marina Bay 15 mins by bus, China Town around 25, airport 30 mins by bus. Many shops, restaurants and bars in 5 mins walking distance.The staff was very friendly and helpful. Equipment slightly older, but everything clean and cozy. The pool at the roof top was just perfect. ,There is no possibility of getting a breakfast on site, on the other hand there are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, so it's no issue at all.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great- near to many places for good food, East Coast Park. I liked how there are free maps given out to those who are not familiar with the area. The pool is heated which makes it nice to swim in.

The bed was too hard and gave my husband a back ache. Some of the facilities (in the room or pool) could be better maintained or improved.

Clean and as advertised. We only stayed one night but it was well located amongst the shopping street, with easy access to a mall, excellent cafes and a lot of local and international food options. It's more of a commute to the central/touristy areas, but that's one of its charms as you can avoid the normal crush of tourists. The staff a friendly, helpful and efficient and I love the decor of the lobby. Rooms are definately biggest of the 3 other hotels we visited.

The aircon (and any ventilation) turns off when you remove the room card, and it can be quite hot and stuffy after returning from a long day of travelling.

We liked everything about the hotel.The Katong suit was beautiful and spacious with gorgeous design. The area has seemingly endless delicious food options and close to the beach. The staff were exceptional. So friendly and helpful and efficient. A wonderful stay and look forward to returning. In 30 odd years of regularly visiting Singapore and having stayed in all sorts of accommodations,including the top end iconic hotels ,overall, this has been one of our best experiences. Thank you 😊

Room size was sufficient. Enough for 2. It was book for my family. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because there are so many eatery outside the hotel. Same boutique hotel about 20mins from the airport. Location was good because they are many local restaurants near by with really good food and going to the center of Singapore is just about 30mins by bus. Bus stop is located in front of the hotel.
