It’s a nice sort of small B&B. Very high building and high staircases. On the first floor there’s a nice bar and there you meet the hostesses. If you go up, there’s 3 floors of rooms - 2 rooms on each floor so only 6 in total. We came after 19.00 and had to enter through the other inner side of the building through a door with a lock code. There was an envelope with our keys and very warm welcome message. The next day we paid the tax and checked in. We had only one big suitcase and it was very difficult to bring it all the way up as they didn’t have a lift. Even getting there yourself with no extra weight is rather difficult but it’s a cool experience of living in such an old historical building. The day before you can order breakfast for €7 pp and it’s a nice amount of everything fresh and tasty. And the staff was super nice! Bed was nice but pillows were extra flat, bathroom was spacious and everything worked well, there was also a blow dryer, a tv and a ventilator. But there was not much space in the room itself. Only enough for one big suitcase

Our upper door room had quite some insects inside: there was a huge spider on bed, then many small moths and other creatures. I suppose they all live in the wood, which is all over the place. And it’s quite an old house so it needs better isolation I suppose.

Location is super perfect, walking distance from main attractions, cafés, restaurants, yet the room is quiet thanks to soundproofed windows. The room was clean, the bed comfy. The bathroom was OK for me. All the ladies at the desk were nice and helpful.

Opening hours (reception is only between 9-19). Breakfast is only from 9 am, bear this in mind when planning your day, or do not include breakfast in your booking. There are several options for breakfast in the neighborhood. Also, there is no choice as to what you eat, you are served the same food on a tray every day, no dietary restrictions addressed. Maybe a kettle and some cups in the room would be nice to make a hot drink in the morning.

Very good location, although bear in mind that this area of Porto tends to be very noisy at night. Small but tasty breakfast. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff.

Room 2T is indeed very small. We basically only slept there because you don't come to Porto to sit in your room, but if you need a comfy room no matter where you go, you should look for someplace else. You need to climb a step stool (visible on some pictures of the guest house) to enter the shower. It wasn't a problem for us, but it can be an unpleasant surprise for some guests. I think it should be clearly indicated in the booking process.

The location of the hotel was ideal (just two minutes away from Torre dos Clérigos and five minutes away from São Bento). The views from my window were nice (you could see the cathedral). The staff was very friendly. They were always happy to give you any indications.

As the hotel is set in and old, Portuguese-style house, it’s got a lot of high stairs and no lift. Not recommended if you suffered recently any injuries. Otherwise it’s fine.

The place is in a central location, and a quick walk to cafes, shopping, and the train station. My room was comfortable, and the hotel overall is charming.

The streets are currently torn up and construction barriers result in re-routing mazes, some become a little sketchy at night. Be prepared for construction noise during the day, and party noise all night long. The hotel windows and wood shutters block most of the noise, but you won't get any fresh air (especially if it's warm out). Lastly, the stairs are narrow and steep, and the steps are slippery and uneven.

Location was perfect, so close to all destinations. Staff was amazing, very kind. Two days we have to leave before breakfest, but we were provided with a breakfast packet the night before.

Room is very very small, would be ok just for sleepover. Not a comfortable stairs (hotel has 4 floors), could be problem with older people or those who have problems with knees

Where shall I start...? - Ana is a really nice host (she even prepared us twice our breakfast the evening before as we had to leave early in the morning) - the guest house is perfectly located - the room was small, but really cute and well & modern equipped - the breakfast was tasteful - the view from our room (top floor) was amazing: we were able to see the Sé Catedral and the the Douro river!

The location is great, minus the construction noise which of course is not their fault. I could easily walk to and from anywhere I liked. Felt very safe in the room.

Unfortunately my window wouldn’t close all the way so it was noisy at night and with the construction. Also the Wi-Fi was not very strong which was frustrating. The room was small and hard to move around and very funky with the shower. Could be dangerous coming down from the shower.

Everything about the stay was great. The room was very comfortable and the location was perfect. The check-in and check-out process were extremely easy. The bathroom was bigger than what I saw in other hotels around Portugal.

There were many stairs to get to the room, was not a problem for me but I could see how it could be challenging for some. There was a slight problem with some water drops falling from the ceiling. I just put a cup under it and it didn't it bother me.

Nataly, the manager, was very sweet, welcoming, and accomodating. The other staff members were very kind, as well. The breakfast was very nice and guests receive 10% off bottles of wine at the cafe. The location was very central... most sights in Porto were within a 10-20 minute walk of the guesthouse. Obrigada!

For those who have mobility issues, the very creatively placed shower (elevated with a step stool you need to climb) could be a problem. For me, it was fine.
