SANA Silver Coast Hotel

Super hotel and an excellent location. Did not expect it to be so great. There's a beautiful park in front, behind it the Bordallo ceramic factory store and plenty of pottery/sculpture museums (all of them free or almost free). On the city agenda that week there was free outdoor theatre (very nice, Gil Vicente, the "Portuguese Shakespeare") in front of the church yard, there were free concerts in the D. Carlos park and fado at the cultural center CCC. Next to the hotel: a shopping center helpful for any ammenity missing in our luggage. Plenty of free parking spaces nearby. And well connected to nearby cities of interest (Óbidos, Ourém, Batalha, Alcobaça, Nazaré, Leiria, Marinha Grande, Fátima). The hotel was calm, classy, clean, good breakfast, confortable beds, relaxed terrace & lounge corners, helpful staff.

No negative aspect I can remember. But when I travel to hotels there is something I appreciate when they have it in our room (this could be a suggestion): a water boiler (for an evening tea if we're having trouble sleeping) and an iron (since clothes tend to need some quick ironing after being packed in the luggage).

All very good, in summary. Perfect for x2 night stay. Close to city center.

The car parking spaces at the LeVie shopping centre, even though numerous and labelled with an "H" to indicate Hotel guests only, were mostly occupied by shoppers. Would be helpful if the Hotel, having rented these spaces for a good reason, could give handouts to its clients to be left behind the window screen, to identify them as rightfully occupying these spaces. At the same time warning all non authorized car owners parking there in no uncertain terms that they will get fined.

Exactly as depicted, looking brand new and in spotless condition. Large and comfortable bed, one of the best breakfast buffets I have seen, great location.

Pricey for the amenities they offer, particularly the bar/room service/restaurant. Limited extras provided in the room regarding toiletries or welcome goodies. Hotel parking charged at 15€ a day and staff unable to provide suggestions on best parking options in a city where parking is essentially free. Also no information on the hotel amenities, which we received by email after checkin and requires online access. If we were really on a full switch off we would never have found it.

The hotel served as a luxurious base from which to explore Obidos and the nearby beaches. Each day started with a delicious and hearty breakfast, and the bus and train stations were easy 10-minute and 15-minute walks away, respectively. The safe and charming Dom Carlos Park across the street from the hotel quickly became an early morning and late evening respite. (And there is a mall and food court next to the hotel for all your travel needs.)

No complaints.

Very good breakfast. Requested for kettle and two cups in room which were there when we came up to the room (reminded staff during check in process). Hot shower, good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Clean. Friendly staff, some of who were there when we first stayed. It is good to see that they are still there.

No USB ports in room. We stayed here a few times now and still a bit creepy to see the mannequins at the end of the hallway. Also some guests were roaming around the dining room during breakfast without their masks and some had colds/coughs and sneezing and the staff on duty did not ask them to keep their masks on and remove only when eating/drinking. This rule during a pandemic should be enforced. Woke up during the night as some inconsiderate guests were talking loudly in the hallway on the way back to their room and slamming doors too. Not cool!! Maybe guests need to be reminded to keep it quiet on the way to/from the rooms to avoid disturbing other guests.

The staff make the hotel what it is...Friendly and outgoing...Optimal location for exploring Caldas da Rainha...Comfortable and spacious rooms...Room service and variety of menu options was a plus...Lounge and bar area is great place to relax and enjoy a drink...

Mattress needs to be replaced...Electrical outlets are in hard to reach places...Toilet seat hinges need to be replaced...Kept coming off...

Good location, very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and spacious, the bed is not the most comfortable but ok. Food at the restaurant (dinner) was very good (but pricey). The online check-in makes the process very straightforward, which is very convenient specially when travelling for work.

Just a few small details: Free parking available nearby but not onsite. Very limited selection of fresh fruit for breakfast. The decor alludes to the 1920s and so the choice of dark woods and a lot of black/dark colours make the hotel as a whole a bit too dark. The mannequins at the end of the corridors by the rooms reminded me of "The Shinning", quite creepy!

This hotel is consistently performing at a high level and maintaining high-quality service, in the rooms, food, and products it uses From reception to housekeeping. When in the Silver Coast, I will always stay here. The plentiful underground parking and shopping mall next door are a super bonus!

The staff was very friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much for them. A kind smile and attention to detail makes a brilliant team. So happy we booked Sana hotel and we will definitely stay there again.

My partner did not like the pillows but he is a fuss pot🙄

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, a lot of choices, including gluten free choices.The location TOP. We appreciate also the parking and the fact of being near the center and the park.

One of the girls room was a bit unconfortable , given that it was a bed-sofa it was a bit unstable. The bathroom was very clean but the shower had a little space where water goes out, which means that after some 5 minutes the bathroom was completly full of water
