Evidencia Belverde Hotel

The hotel is nice. I liked the huge comfy bed, spacious room. There was a daily cleaning service. The swimming pool is cool, refreshing. It was kinda crowded over the weekend but that’s completely understandable. We had no issues with the noises; it was super calm during the night, no parties or noises outside. The personnel was welcoming and kind. We had tons of questions where to go, how to get to point B (we didn’t have a car) so the girls at reception were kind to print us the directions and explain where to go. My partner used the spa few times, and the Turkish bath was not working thought all our stay. He enjoyed the massage though, it was an experience worth paying for. Also be aware that the hotel is kinda far from everything, and if you don’t have a car you will end up using taxi since public transport around is not the best (buses takes hours to get and the schedule is a mess). We were taking the taxi to the port to take a boat to go to downtown (around 10 euros).

For the negative points I would say it’s the pillows in the bedroom: they are uncomfortable and look really aged, the filling inside is a mess. I had a pain in the neck the other morning, and I asked at the reception if by chance they might have others. Luckily, they offered me other pillow, which was better than the standard one. I would suggest the owners to invest to good proper pillows for the 4 star hotel. The breakfast I would rate at 3.5 out of 5. There could have been a wider choice of the food for the hotels category. We ended up eating scrambled eggs and bacon every morning. What surprised me is a complete absence of vegetables for the breakfast, not a single lettuce or tomatoes or cucumbers.

We picked this hotel purely for the fact that it was an easy drive to Lisbon airport, it had parking and scored an 8 or above on the Booking.com review. So, the hotel has a suburban location, on a fairly busy road. Its neighbours (and our view) was the local Lidl and a BP garage. BUT the beaches of the Costa da Caparica are a short drive away. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It's a design hotel, the main design feature being the colour black (and a bit of gold thrown in for good measure) Our room was a fair size, with a small balcony overlooking said Lidl and garage. The bed was massive and very comfortable. There was a minibar/fridge. The bathroom was one of those that have large window open onto the room, with a small frosted part to preserve the user's modesty. The rain shower was excellent. Breakfast offered a good selection and was plentiful. The outdoor pool was and interesting design, There is an indoor pool and spa (which we did not use)

The drawback of having black as your main colour is that it shows everything! Every mark left by a cloth wiped over it, dust and every small chip on the black furniture. This made the tables in the breakfast room look a bit shoddy. The toilet area of our bathroom could have done with a more thorough cleaning (also under the rim!). As I said, the bed was massive and very comfortable. It's a shame that the sheets weren't quite large enough to be tucked in under the topper. For the price and 4* rating, it really could have done with having tea/coffe making facilities in the room. It's all in the details.....

Very interesting design and free parking

Once we book it by booking we received an email from the hotel to inform that the pool was additional 5€/day per person… once we get there we pay this amount we only received one towel. Other guests had full service and when we asked for : slippers,robe,towel The answer is that is not for the customer or booked by booking…

A very modern and interestingly decorated hotel. Interesting and specific external and internal architecture. Comfortable bed, spacious room and bathroom. Tasteful, modern shower cubicle. Parking next to the hotel. Very good selection of products on breakfast. Staff very polite.

Lighting in the room as well as in the common areas could be slightly increased. To me it was a bit too dark. This is of course my subjective opinion, but I mention it as information for consideration.

if you had a room with garden view then this is a very nice location. If the room is on the other side of the hotel it is very noisy and the view def not resort standard. nice place to relax after a day at the beach. rooms are very spacious. was lucky that I could change my room from the street view to the garden view.

that there was a tank station right next to it. I did not smell any gasoline but I guess that is why they have perfume blowing all day throughout the hotel inside and outside.

restaurant staff poorly trained,,very long waiting time to clean away plates by evening meal , always walking past , but more concerned about setting up for breakfast ,at breakfast have a horrible habit off cleaning up the used tables by dusting all crumbs to the floor or chairs , in a room with such dark furnishings , highly unpleasant staff are pleasant but need schooling

Pool area is nice but not very functional as the sun beds are very bulky and the backs do not move. The sun beds that are right next to the pool stairs are nice but then you get splashed by the kids and have people constantly walking past which during COVID times is not ideal. They should change the sun beds that are not around the pool to more normal sun beds that have an adjustable back so you can sit up and they also occupy less room so maybe there would be room for more people even with social distancing in place. They could have tissues in the bathroom and a kettle in the room for tea/coffee

The staff is 5 starts so friendly and professional .. everything I need it they sort it in seconds.. they always smile.. and are so polite .. thank you very much for everything .. specially Carolina.. she was the extra mile😁 Ohh! And the food is delicious.. delightful
