Hotel Monopol

Travelling through from Slovakia. Stayed as one night stop over before flight home. Location excellent. Staff excellent. No available parking near. Hotel staff took car to over night car park. Returned car back to hotel early morning. Ok so this was approx €18, but no complaints about that. Excellent hotel, and value for money. Airport approx 30mins drive.

Very centrally located hotel with great architectural features (mix of old and new components). We highly enjoyed our stay and used facilities such as the spa and restaurant. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

Our room was in the new part of the hotel, with windows to the (bright) hall where the restaurant is located. In the morning, the noise from the breakfast was quite loud. Next time, we would prefer to stay in the old part with windows to the outside. Another small thing: only few sockets in the room, none close to the bed.

Location is very convenient - 5 minute walk from the train station and 5 minute walk from promenada streets. Swimming Pool is very comfortable and the gym is equiped as professional gym. Breakfast is unique and very tasty. When I was looking for a hotel in Katowice, I red a lot of feedbaks with "hotel Monopol staff was very friendly' and now I can definitely confirm that All staff (reception, restaurant, spa center, room service etc,) are very friendly

the shower stall didn't seal properly so water was leaking onto the floor

From the moment you walk into Hotel monopol you're greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Reception staff are delightful, as a solo Australian traveller for work it was lovely to have the assistance to get my bags to the room, greeted in English and feel safe. Used the gym, had room service and had visited the restaurant. All very good. The room was a great size and plenty of room to unpack and also work from room as i was here for business. Walked only 5 mins to the square and amazing shopping, food and transport. Was a massive releif also to have a taxi waiting to pick me up from airport. Bed was lovely and soft, pillows like marshmallows. Heaven. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality hotel close to everything with exceptional service. 5 stars! A1!!!

I slept with windows open (my error) and i was woken by garbage trucks at 5am. Also, when i looked at pool, I stepped in water pond in door way. Thought it had glass over the top and my shoes got wet. A little strange the door way was over water.

The hotel is quite central, which helps to visit several parts of the city. The rooms and the bed are quite comfortable. The bathroom is quite good including the "free" shampoos, etc. The breakfast has a good variety of fruits and products to add to a morning cereal. The staff is friendly and polite.

Warning: If you are travelling by yourself to the IEM finals and have a limited budget, this might not be the best option for you.

No complaints here ! Only downtown 5 star with a pool. Did not try breakfast. Went around the corner (3 mins away) to a period cafe.

Breakfast seemed exspensive at 90 zloty per head. Instead I wisely spent 80z for two around the corner - Cafe Kattowitz.pl 2 x Eggs Benedict, 2 coffees, Earl Grey, 2 freshly squeezed OJ and Grapefruit juices (mixed) bottle of sparkling mineral water.

I definitely liked the services this facility provided to the guests. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Sadly I didn't find enough time to use the wellness, but breakfast delivery to the room left my mouth open.

I don't think I can find something that I didn't like. Maybe the lightning in the room is a bit focused on one side and the other side of the room is a bit darker, but I don't consider it as a major problem.

Great location! Interesting design. Very comfortable bed and a spacious room. Tasty restaurants nearby. Quiet and peaceful place. Feels like a place with its own history.

The staff could be a little more friendly and professional, but nothing abhorrent. There is some wear and tear around the place. Could use some minor touch-ups.

The facilities were bespoke luxury and very well appointed in every way. Bed was ultra comfortable, brilliant air conditioning and bathroom was great. Very roomy feel in bedroom and bathroom made for exceptional experience.

Staff at Hotel seemed a little inexperienced and difficult to communicate in English, which is essential for overseas travellers to have the best experience. Menu also seemed fairly limited.

Excellent staff in the reception desk, very helpful, and very well mannered. Excellent staff in the breakfast room, the breakfast was also very good.

The room interior is not adequately furnished,, no hand shower in the bathroom,
