Great delicious fresh authentic Filipino meals, the set up as small resort is family oriented, staff front desk, restaurant staff, night security guard are all warm welcoming and nicest people. You feel at home. Special mention to Dodong our amazing driver kept us safe during our travels, Bong staff of the resort at whale shark encounter took care of us from beginning to end Most of all Lorena and Matinthe nicest very accommodating resort owners who had a big heart in sharing how they start their resort business and had been successful …we will definitely refer The Island Front Bangcogon Resort and Restaurant to our friends and family. Staff were helpful, friendly and very polite. They helped us to arrange few activities. The food served was delicious 🤤 . Bed was comfortable. Service excellent!

They should care more about the environment and place their garbage properly. As well as incentive to keep their space clean. Through the trip, we observed lots of trash being thrown out in the sea, and the driver provided also throwing trash on the street. It was disappointing! They could also have more options on the menu, like cheese sandwiches or different kinds of snacks.

We stayed at TATA and MAMA, which are two rooms just next to the coast, the restaurant, and parking spaces. Not only the wavy sound of ocean but servers' talking can wake me up. Maybe I just don't stay long enough and cannot get used to the ocean sound. However, the staff there are terrifically friendly and helpful at any time. Though there were some frustrating booking issues in the beginning, Ron solved it out at the last minute. Jess, at the night shift, is very much communicative and helpful on every matter. Stay and enjoy your Oslob there.

There is no instruction how to get hot water thru the taps. I tried hard on the 1st day but got my cold shower at my 1st night. Noisy in the early morning. I guess industrious Philipinos got up very early.

We arrived 10:30pm but the staff welcomed us immediately. If you are travelling with a suitcase the rocky road going down to the hotel is challenging. We went to the whale shark watching, sumilon island and tumalog falls with their tour and the staff were super friendly and we enjoyed very much. We arrived from cebu city taking the bus from south terminal to oslob, but be aware of the awful traffic. We left at 4pm and arrived 10:30pm. Talk to the driver that you want to get off here and it is easy.

Having a hair dryer in the room would have been nice.

Ocean front views. Nice, clean room. They helped organise our whale shark tour - we left at 4am which meant we beat most of the crowd and one of the first in the water. We got back from the tour by 7.30/8. Boats leave from resort to Sumilion island which was a great day trip. Free breakfast was nice. There is a local basketball court out back of resort - our son loved playing with the locals there every afternoon. We also joined in with the local new year celebrations which was fun - everyone was so inviting and welcoming.

Beds a little hard.

The rooms, location and breakfast were excellent. The food in general was good as well. Washrooms and other facilities were ample so that all the guests could use at the same time. Enough towels and sheets were provided. They accommodated our requests as well.

Booking.com should be more clear when requesting the booking so that the facility can provide 2 rooms in the same location as there is another Annex-1 building for them. Some more staff should be provided during the night so that the restaurants can handle the orders fast.

Very frindly staff in the hotel. We arrived quited late and were contacted by the reception on our way with a question if we would like to order some meals from the restaurant before it closes. Upon arrival our food was waiting for us despite to the late time our of working hours. Hotel team can organize different activities including whale shark watching which is located nearby in 5 min driving distance. Hotel accepts card payment.

All transfer services provided by the hotel are slightly higher then the average price. But this is their source of additional income and you can always find the alternative

It is a perfect choice if you want to swim with whale sharks. The staff organises everything and has got the newest information about swimming possibilites with these animals. There is always a person who guides you for a small fee and you feel cared well. Breakfasts are tasty and the restaurant serves tasty meals as well. The staff is very helpful and kind. The bus stop is with a walking distance so visiting Oslob is easy. Rooms are spacious but simple. OK for one night.

Loved this accommodation. It is the rustic and local kind that made me feel that I am in the country. Beautiful sunrise in front of my room. Owner and staff very accommodating and organized; client oriented. Considering to return for a four-week staycation. We felt safe and secure. The tourism industry in this area is very well organized with all of the staff cooperating very well with each other.

We loved the rustic flair, which for some may not be their kind of accommodation.

Excellent location, the ocean view from our room was lovely. And the hotel restaurant set up a table for us on the beachfront to enjoy a romantic dinner one evening. As well, it's very nearby to the whale shark swim site. The shuttle provided by the hotel was maybe 5 minutes in duration. We ate 3 meals at the hotel restaurant and everything was enjoyable and fresh. Hot water, internet, and air conditioning all worked satisfactorily. This is a family run business and all of the staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you :)
