Hotel Villa de Pescadores

Great location overlooking the water (at least some rooms). Only a few reserved parking spaces but I had no issue with street parking. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Noise was not bad despite being right on the street. Town is so small that you can easily walk to the good restaurants and sights. There are some cute cats that roam the property.

The front desk people were cordial, not overly friendly, though this did not particularly bother me. Breakfast, as others have mentioned, is not great, but it was fine. There was a step-up in the bathroom that I kept tripping on, so watch out for that. There's an in-house guide for boat tours and I was able to join on with another group for the next morning, which was good. He told me other tour guides would give sub-par tours but I think he was just saying this and I suspect the other tour guides are probably equivalent.

OMG the room was huge and the balcony looked right over the estuary. Amazing bird (and people) watching from our balcony. Location couldn't be better and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was newly remodeled and very nice--great shower. The staff were friendly and had a lot of helpful suggestions.

Breakfast was basic--fruit, bread and coffee. But the food was fresh. The room was so large, it was hard to cool with the A\C. Nonetheless, the evening breeze cooled things down, but there was a fair amount of street noise.

The location of the hotel was perfect, facing the rio abs very central. The room was big, with comfortable beds and air conditioning. The staff was super nice and friendly, we would definitely recommend highly this place. We booked a boat tour with the hotel and was just great and easy we saw all the different birds species, crocodiles and flamingos. Also good and relax location to travel to other areas of interests such as valladolid, chichen itza...

Lovely view and good central location! The staff were great and helped us organise an amazing boat trip with Paco, which was brilliant. The breakfast was good but a little light and a bit slow (some fruit bread and yoghurt) but this place is great for a short stay!

The breakfast was a bit light and a bit slow. More choice and slightly more in terms of quantity would be good. No access to the roof terrace while we were there, but we watched the sunset from the promenade just in front which was equally nice.

Fantastic location with wonderful view of the lagoon from the room and the balcony. Everything was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Only wish we'd planned for a slightly longer stay

We were on the top floor and I'm not so sure we would have been so pleased with a room on the lower floors, as the views were nowhere near as good - particularly the ground floor rooms which open straight onto the car park. That said, I believe those rooms are cheaper, so if you are prepared to sacrifice a view to have a few extra peso for Margaritas then I'm sure they are a good option in every other sense.

Beachfront location, rooms looking out to sea, wonderful tour of the mangroves arranged by the hotel with a lovely tour host. We didn’t have the highest expectations as it was very quiet, but we were blown away by the sights on our tour and the hospitality of our hosts. Thank you!

Simple rooms, but the price reflected that and the hosts were wonderful, and we had an excellent visit to rio lagartos

great localization - ideal for a ria lagartos boat trip in an early morning and also nice as a base for afternoon and evening walks in this nice, peaceful small town balcony with a lagoon view supportive personnel - they booked very good captain for a boat trip for us and well advised about the trip before our stay room was large, beds were comfy

basic room and breakfast but nothing to complain about as we were prepared for this

we just loved our staying here! wonderful oase, still not as touched by tourism! hotelroom had an amazing view and the staff has been super helpful. we were there for dia de muertos and could go with locals on beautifully decor’s boats to celebrate it with them - a dream! We very much enjoyed a sunrise mangroven - flamingo and crocodile tour, organised by the hotel! all in all, one of our best experiences in Mexico!

the location is excellent as it is right on the Malecon. the hotel helped us set up an amazing tour with a wonderfully knowledgeable tour guide for the next day. the patio in front of room is wonderful for relaxing in the mornings and evenings.

the pillows were super hard and too thick and no mattress pad on bed. a coffee pot in room would be nice as I am an early riser to watch the sun rise and the free breakfast doesn’t start until 7am. there is nowhere in town to find a cup of coffee before 7.

It was pleasure to stay here. The view from windows was awesome. Flat was very clean. There was a huge bed- how amazing! The localization- perfect. Not only close to harbour but also close to the best restaurant in the city! I have never eaten better tacos and fish than in Maleconcito next to the hotel.

Breakfast was quite modest but tasty with some fresh fruits
