Villas H2O

The staff is very helpfull and always ready to answer all your questions. The ladies of the breakfast prepare your eggs and/or waffles to your liking so you can start the day fully fueled. The swimming pool was a very welcome to cool off from the hot summer days, especially for the children. Further more, we forgot some clothing items when we left, they reached out to us and kept them until we could pick them up.

The location is not really on walking distance of the commercial center of Tulum. At least not at 38-40 degrees Celsius. :) But you know that when you reserve. So if you don't have your own (rental) car, it might be less convenient for you.

Clean, beautiful and, spacious room with a safe, fridge and balcony overlooking the pool. Tea and water for free 24h/7 at the common area next to the pool, where also the breakfast is served. Breakfast was good and included coffee/tea, fresh fruit, cereals, toast with yam, freaky made eggs of your choice (boiled, omelette, etc) and fresh pancakes. Car can be parked outside of the complex directly next to the building. The staff was always super friendly, helpful and professional. When we arrived in the next hotel we realized that we forgot something there and they arranged a DHL express delivery for us. Awesome service! Thank you, Juan Carlos, and your team for the great experience.

The only thing we did not like was that the fridge in the room made some sound. During the day no problem but during the night it can disturb the sleep. We didn't need the fridge so no issue for us.

The hotel was right off the main strip in Tulum town and was easy to get in/out of the main area. There are many restaurants in the area and is easily accessible to the Tulum town area. The hotel was quiet which was great and the staff were very accomodating to our late arrival. The pool was such a great place to spend the hot afternoons. I would absolutely recommend this place to family/friends in the future and would stay again.

We had a room with a balcony, it was spacious, with a lovely bathroom and air con. Swimming pool and garden are really nice too. The walk to town is about 15 minutes so not too long. Overall we had a comfortable and relaxed stay.

Breakfast ends at 10 (bit early as most hotels we went to in Mexico end breakfast at 11). And same options every day which was a bit limited. Also when we arrived for check in it was later than we had anticipated so a security guard let us in, apparently reception leaves around 10pm. The guard didn’t give us much explanation or help which is understandable but was a bit confusing.

The hotel is on a quiet side street with a couple decent cafes close by for a quick lunch or supper. H2O is close to the main highway so it is easy to get taxis from/to there. I was with young kids so biking was not a good (safe) option with traffic in Tulum, say for beach trips.

I rarely use a/c in hotels at night but the penthouse we rented got a little hot during the day so I had to keep the a/c on for a few hours to sleep comfortably.

The villas and pool area were stunning. The pool was often quiet - we had it to ourselves more than 50% of the time that we used it. Staff at reception were really helpful and gave us loads of recommendations for restaurants, places to visit, ATMs etc. The villa rents out their own bikes for $10/day which was much more enjoyable than walking in the heat.

The staff at breakfast weren’t overly friendly, we often felt like a burden asking for food. The location was okay but we would definitely recommend hiring bikes as it’s a 15-20minute walk from the main part of town

We had a wonderful stay at Villas H20! Julian and all the members of staff were really friendly, welcoming and accommodating, even when we had last minute changes of plan due to our airline rescheduling the flights. The place is just gorgeous, calm, serene, quiet and beautiful and you can hear the birds outside, very peaceful. It feels like an oasis. The rooms are super big and look out onto a lovely pool. Our rooms were kept clean throughout our stay and there are all the amenities you need - fan, AC, etc. Breakfast was super - amazing yummy pancakes and the hotel is very close to a very nice local restaurant that we enjoyed going to. There are also not to that many rooms at the property so it’s not crowded with people, oftentimes it felt like we were the only ones there which was nice. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place!

The road leading up to the villas is unpaved so had lots of holes and is bumpy to drive along - hopefully it will be paved soon.

Great pool and garden area. I was happily surprised that the breakfast included also eggs made to your taste. Clean rooms, beautiful bathrooms with good toiletries and ok water pressure.Just an overall easy and comfortable stay with good price compared to the overall price range in the area. Hence why we took an extra night at H20.

Wish they had bicycles available free of charge like some establishments do, as it is relatively long way to the centre. They do rent them out with 10 USD a day. Rooms were nice, but maybe lacked some decoration to match how detailed the bathrooms are. Service is not very cheerful nor proactive but quite straight forward and you get to enjoy your own peace.

Beautiful! The room was clean and the staff was always nice and helpful. Perfect for a leisure day but the pool or going around town since they are many good restaurants in walking distance nearby.

If I had to choose one thing - the soap in the bathroom did not work well. But that's it, everything else was perfect and better than I expected!
