The Fives Oceanfront

We had a wonderful time just relaxing by the beach, rooftop pool and even the room’s balcony, which was decently sized. Although we were on accommodation only, we really enjoyed our time. The place is 10-15min walk to the lovely town center that has many dining options. The place is lovely, fancy and clean and convenient.

We were invited to have a free breakfast and some welcome vouchers to spend at the hotel in exchange of 90min of our time where they’d show us the installations for promotion purposes. We accepted as we were on accommodation only and sounded like fun but turned out to be a quite heavy marketing sales breakfast including the viewing of one room to then be offered the possibility to invest in the residences and so on and so forth. This lasted for 3 hours as they wouldn’t take no for an answer and kinda left a bad taste for the rest of the day.

Large room, clean and only 2 years old. Pools were very nice but wish they were a bit deeper. oceanfront and walkable to beach clubs and snorkeling

Hallways were dank, a bit narrow and smelled badly. Staff continuously raked seaweed off the beach but the smell of rotting seaweed kept wafting over. limited food options; don't get the all inclusive as the town has lots of better tasty options

We loved the location in Puerto Morelos. The room was huge, modern and clean. Great amount of sunbeds on the beach and chance to do snorkelling right outside the hotel.

Booked an oceanview room but this was more like a half view room as it was on the side of the hotel. Our view was mainly another apartment bloc whereas the pictures when booking show a full direct view of the ocean. When I spoke to reception about this they did not seem to care or even ask if we wanted a better room (we might have wanted to pay more for a better room.) Loud music being played at 8am on a Saturday morning from the pool area - No relaxing sleep ins here! Great vegan options on the lunch menu but then none on the dinner time menu which was so odd.

very nice location. the stretch of the beach is not too busy but you can still reach everything important by foot! the room was very comfortable, clean and had a good view!

if there is anything I’d change, it would be the fitness area. all machines are old, (from the early 2000s I’d guess) and some not functioning properly. (1/2 treadmills not working, 1/2 cross trainers not working) if they would give the fitness room an update I’d rate my stay with a 10/10.

Very nice rooms and facilities. Lovely beach. They cleaned up seaweeds every day.

The restaurant had really bad service, it was long, expensive and not good. I will not return to the restaurant that is sure. The massage at the spa was good but very expensive. The manicure was ok but again way too expensive for the type of service I received. I also had an ant problem in my shower.

Most economic hotel at the beach in the area, nice pool, nice beach, good rooms. Kids loved it. We stayed for one night to be close to the airport to fly back the next day. For that purpose it is a great choice with kids.

restaurant isnt really interesting for food, and slow for drinks -- (solution: just walk 10 mins to find good food) staff seemed a bit confused during checkin/checkout (wrong room number wasnt given to the bell boy, at checkout they told me 'everythings good' but then the valet didnt want to give me my car without a 'pass', went inside again for the pass -- turned out they also wanted some local taxes (28 pesos, not a big deal)). That could go smoother... only two elevators means waiting a lot...

Outstanding value for money and quality! The staff is friendly and accommodating, providing helpful assistance. The cuisine is tasty and also offers a variety of options. It's an ideal destination to unwind for a couple of nights. If you prefer a tranquil atmosphere by the pool without the hustle of crowds of tourists, especially with an all-inclusive package, you might consider extending your stay. The beach is well-maintained, though the sea does have seaweed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and had a relaxing experience before heading back home. Thank you for providing such a pleasant retreat!

Please provide a space or opportunity to dry a swimsuit. Swimsuits and towels hung on all balconies and furniture on the balconies look a little curious.

The accommodations exceeded my expectations and gave me a reason to return for a future visit to the area. Although coming from Isla Holbox just prior to where the beach was amazing, the beach at The Fives was slightly underwhelming however the rest of the property, amenities, and especially the rooftop pool made up for it.

The check in process could have been a little better only due to the fact that we'd traveled from Isla Holbox and after the ferry and 2-hour drive was really ready to decompress and settle into our rooms. Unfortunately the staff somewhat bombarded us with questions almost as soon as we walked into the lobby (which is normally a wonderful thing) making the check-in a little overwhelming.
