Hotel LunaSol

This is my 2nd time! Hotel staff are personable and very helpful, they pay attention to the details and one of them printed off my boarding pass, and let me leave my suitcase, which saved a lot of hassle. They definitely go the extra mile, with what must be a busy job. The facilities have chilled vibe and you can enjoy a bit of nature with all the vegetation and lovely pool area All rooms have a balcony, and there is a light which you can put on once it's dark (my bad thanks for letting me know) Breakfast is as you turn left out of the hotel to the next corner on the right, nice and easy, good service.

I liked it all

A surprisingly cozy hotel with only 16 rooms. The description fully matches the website. Close to bustling tourist streets with restaurants, nightclubs, shops and travel agencies. However, the rooms are quiet. All rooms overlook the courtyard or the pool. White noise from an artificial waterfall perfectly masks the sounds of nightclubs from the neighboring blocks, this is some kind of magic))) The rooms on the second floor have small balconies. We got, perhaps, the best room on the second floor overlooking the pool. The air conditioners are new, quiet and clean. There were no problems with hot water. The cleaning of the rooms is very conscientious. The hotel staff understands English. True, we had a funny curiosity: there were no blankets in our room, and after a request to give them to us, a hotel employee brought us beach towels. We hid with them at night for 4 days, after which we decided to ask for blankets from another person and finally got them))) Breakfasts are not at the hotel, but in a small Mexican restaurant opposite. The choice of food is small, however meals are good. The hotel is located a couple of blocks from the bus terminal, so you can go here by bus from the airport. Also nearby is the ferry to Cozumel Island. I highly recommend the LunaSol hotel.

Hotel LunaSol is a restful place to say, but still near enough to the lively activities on nearby in Playa Del Carmen. It is very walkable to many of the attractions of the beach and city.

Location was central and close to the beach but not noisy. Room was a good size and comfortable, modern bathroom, staff were friendly and helpful, wifi was strong throughout the premises. We paid for the breakfast which was served just across the street, in future I would not choose this option as there are plenty of other restaurant options in the vicinity.

The hotel arranged the transfer from the airport and it was seamless with a very comfortable van and complimentary cold drinks. There are plenty of options in the area to arrange a return trip at a slightly cheaper rate but we chose to arrange the return through the hotel to have the same level of comfort on the way back. Unfortunately they arranged a smaller much less comfortable and less professional vehicle for the return. A local taxi would have been cheaper and more comfortable. Live and learn.

Close to beach, close to main street but also in the calm, quiet area (unique combination in Playa del Carmen). Nice pool area, every room has a balcony so it's good place to sit in the evening. Staff was very nice and helpful, there is an unlimited access to bottle water (from container) and there is a coffee/tea available every morning. I think it is a good value for the money

DONT THINK TWICE THIS iS PERFECT! Spacious room with terrace facing the pool , the pool it’s quite good size , it has a kitchen cantone which is great as supermarket are 5min walk! So perfect for a break from beach and cook some food . The staff were fantastic , Miguel and Victor where very friendly and helpful with our questions. They offer free water , and coffe and tea on the morning . The 5a avenida is right there but far enough to don’t hear noises at night, the port it’s 5min walk . REALLY the location is perfect! There’s a little piazza near the hotel where 711 is and there you can get nice street food for under £5!

Nothing but will be nice if there were more large mirrors as there’s just one in the bathroom and a small one on the room .

This place was one of our favourite stays. We had a downstairs room with access to the pool area which we all enjoyed. There is a small kitchen next to the pool, which is great to make your own breakfast or some snacks or drinks. For us the hotel had everything we needed, good wi-fi connection, comfy beds, spacious bathroom, nice pool area with lounging chairs. I especially liked that they offered water to refill and free coffee in proper mugs. The location is perfect with only a few blocks away from the main Avenida but still in a quiet area.

This place is GREAT! I generally stay in apartment style accommodation while in Playa, but this hotel may have converted me. The location is PERFECT if you like to supplement eating out with groceries as it is a 10 minute walk from both 5th Avenue and Walmart/Mega. The pool is amazing and the rooms themselves are very large. There is some kitchen equipment out by the pool area and our room also had a fridge. My 2 year old loved seeing the turtle pond at reception everyday and there is even a tiny slide for little kids. The bigger park (by the police building) is only a few blocks away. Everyone who we spoke to who worked there was so kind and accommodating as well. I would (and did!) happily stay here again.

Hotel is just a couple blocks to 5th Ave but peaceful and quiet. Local restaurants just a few steps from hotel. The pool area with beautiful vegetation offered a quiet sanctuary. Miquel and Roberto at front desk were wonderful!! They assisted us in so many ways to make our stay enjoyable!

The hotel has some maintenance needs but management was great in trying to resolve our issues.

I loved the whole place, very relaxed and great location. The pool area is lovely, nice with the kitchen to make your own breakfast or a quick meal, and the staff was so friendly. they even gave us a bottle of wine due to a neighbour playing very loud music one night. Otherwise the place is very quiet for being located so close to 5th avenue. i will for sure stay here again.
