Very good location. Super helpful and friendly staff. They provided patches to you for free if you have tattoos and you want to enjoy their beautiful onsen. They also helped me to ship my luggages to next hotel. Room is small but super comfortable and beautiful. Breakfast is very nice.
My partner encountered some strange behaved guys in the onsen with full body tattoos in this hotel. I understand why they restricted people with tattoos in the onsen. But it seems some people didn't care at all about their tattoos. They didn't let the normal citizens like me enjoy the onsen without making an effort to cover the tattoos, but they let some not-well-behaved gangster looking people going in the onsen without covering their tattoos. Feeling very contradicting.

Onsen, rooms, night noodles... This hotel made me feel at home like no other... A perfect stay with a wonderful location close to Nara Station...

This is a very good hotel; my only criticism is value-for-money. But then again, I did stay over New Year's which may be one of the peak periods of the year. Still, I have stayed in equally good places for cheaper. The onsen is excellent having a good cold-water bath and sauna as well as the regular bath. Also the free icy-poles and Yakult drink after bath. Breakfast is very good. A pleasant surprise was the free "midnight ramen" starting at 9 pm or so. Directly across the road from JR Nara station, and on Sanjo-michi - a straight 10 minute walk up to the start of Nara Park and all the temples. Being able to walk around the hotel in "roomware" is a nice change, and all the punters seem to embrace this.
Next time in Nara I'd sacrifice location a little bit for price.

Hotel is located extremely close to JR Nara Station, and so was extremely convenient to get to. JR Nara Station is not only connected to the local metro, but also the intercity lines, so it was accessible for both intra- and inter-city travel. Complimentary dinner at night was not only delicious but a real life-saver when arriving late in the evening. Although the food was free, they did not skimp on quality nor service, and the chefs were extremely courteous and friendly. Do note that although it tastes delicious, there was no substantial protein component to the dish, and so it functions more as a supper than a full dinner. That said, for weary travelers, it more than exceeds expectations. Of course, the hot springs are the main attraction, and indeed they were extremely relaxing. There are hot baths, a sauna, and a cold bath, and alternating between hot and cold provided wondrous relaxation for a body exhausted from traveling. In addition to the hot springs, there are also massage chairs that can be used free-of-charge, which round out the relaxation experience. Free ice-cream also cools down one's body after the hot baths. Finally, the atmosphere and decor of the hotel is an experience in and of itself. For those not familiar with Japanese traditions, this hotel provides the feel of traditional furnishings, customs, and hospitality, while still maintaining modern standards of cleanliness, safety, and sturdiness. The facilities are as depicted and described on the website, so look through the information carefully to know what you are signing up for.
Nothing I can think of! I'm trying to give an unbiased account, but I really cannot think of anything I was unsatisfied with with this stay. While booking, I did note that there is a substantial price difference depending on when you book, so choosing the right date can help to bring this stay within a more budget price range.

We had a fantastic stay at Onyado Nono Hotel. The location is ideal, next to the train station, with good bus connections nearby and a 15-20min walk to Nara Park. We stayed in a Queen Room and enjoyed the welcome snack in the fridge on arrival. The room itself was very comfortable, we especially liked the room wear pyjamas which we could use around the hotel and onsen. The onsen in the hotel is lovely, plenty of space to change, shower and get ready. After using the onsen there is a choice of complimentary iced desserts and a late night mini ramen sitting, which were both a great addition. The hotel is great value for money, we would love to stay again if we visit Nara anytime in the future!
There is some minor railway noise which can be heard from the hotel. This wasn't off-putting for us at all but possibly worth noting for anyone who is noise sensitive.

It is close to the JR Nara station, which is mostly the train to the south part of Nara. Just like other Onyado Nono series, this is a hotel with basic Japanese-style rooms and decorations. The room is small but the restroom in the room is larger than I think since the restroom in Onyado Nono in Kyoto is really small.
If you are someone who wants to go to the northern part or Kyoto, hotels around Kintetsu Nara will be better for you. The onsen is small so if you are a real fan of Onsen, you can go and try it. Otherwise taking a shower in your room is good enough. For the food, this hotel also provides late-night snacks. You will have enough Breakfast choices but a bit fewer than the Onyado Nono in Kyoto.

The onsen was great! Absolutely a great experience, also everything was super clean and the staff keeps good care of it. Staff was super helpful and kind even though there was some issues with understanding due to language skill. Very traditional Japanese breakfast with some continental breakfast stuff too. Worth the money. Good location next to the station, but on the other hand it makes some noise from the tracks
The bed. It was hard as a rock. Also pillows were super thing and I had to use my blanket as a pillow since it was super hard to fall asleep with the thin pillow. Also there was some consturaction outside the hotel that started at 6AM.

The best hotel I have ever been to in Japan! Staffs are great, super polite, and helpful. Excellent amenities everywhere are super clean, silent, and comfy. The breakfast is delicious; it is a buffet, but the quality and freshness exceed the expectation, better than many other a la carte. They also gave treats on Valentine's Day free ramen for dinner. The onsen is gorgeous! It has an outdoor onsen, too. The room is quite big for a Japanese standard. This hotel is so good and so fair price that I changed my plans just to extend my stay one more day there.
There is only one minor issue: the floor is tatami everywhere. Then the tatami in the onsen locker room smells slightly of mold. It doesn't mean they don't clean that area, but tatami is hard to be 100% dry.

The hotel is right next to the Shinkansen station so we didn't have to carry our luggage for long. It's a bit of a walk from the hotel to the Nara park but there are a lot of shops in between. The onsen was very nice. It comes with a sauna room too. I didn't go but my friends love the sauna and the cold bath. The staff were very friendly during check-in & out. I lost my phone at the hotel and they retrieved it in a timed and polite manner. The food was the best! They have all you can eat & FREE ramen & ice cream, with good quality as well! The breakfast was exceptional. We especially love their toaster. We ate 10+ pieces of their toast.
The room is not too spacious but good enough. You might not be able to open 2 suitcases at the same time though.
