Belle Vue Nishiura

My friend and I had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this hotel. It's a family establishment run by Satoshi and his wife, along with their two small children, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat with a five minute walk to the Ishiuchi Maruyama gondola. Satoshi and his wife were incredibly kind hosts, providing me and my friend with pick-up from Echigo Yuzawa Station (multiple times since we arrived and departed at different times!) as well as transportation to Maiko Ski Resort. They also rented out snowboarding gear and provided breakfast for extremely reasonable prices. I would recommend this place 10 times out of 10 and have every intention of returning myself in the near future.　サトシさん、誠にありがとうございます！

Satoshi San is an absolute legend man, him and his family runs a pretty tight ship in this comforting family home. Everything you need, he is ready to be at your service. Super value for money and super near the ski resort(walking distance) pretty big too. If you're not looking to book your ski plans online (cheapest I believe but must be made days prior) getting it through him is way cheaper than walk ins. Also his gear in house for rental are pretty good and affordable too like I said, he'll take care of you. Breakfast is cooked by the man himself also, no complaints there as its delicious, you wouldn't want a buffet spread when you know you're heading out for the slopes anyway. Thank you Satoshi San aka guy in the green apron, and family.

Perhaps, and this has nothing to do with the accommodation per say, the town around is pretty quiet, and limited eateries r open for choice. If you're driving great, than you could have more choices, if not , if its within walking distance, I suggest 3 days would be just nice to go around the limited options.

The property is really close to 1 of the 3 ski mountains in Yuzawa. The other two can be accessed by a shuttle or car (if driving). The property is family owned and had been running for four generations, thus there is a lot of history in this place. Mr Satoshi and his family were really accommodating, and I didn’t expect for him to offer a pick up and drop off from the snow resort and train station. The property is really clean, the rooms are comfortable and space is reasonable. It is also accessible to some restaurants and a 7-11. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Yuzawa for a snow trip.

We had an amazing experience at Belle Vue Nishiura. The location is perfect, and the lodging and amenities are clean and well-maintained. Satoshi was an amazing guest and went out of his way to ensure our stay went smoothly, including a personal shuttle from the train station. Skiing is close by within a couple-minute walk, and the ability to rent nice ski gear directly from Belle Vue (for cheaper than the resort!) was a nice touch. We enjoyed the on-site baths at the end of the day to relax after a day on the mountain. We'll be coming back for sure, thanks Satoshi!

There is a very good dry room to store all the equipments and board. The owner was very nice about my request for towel exchange, late reservation of breakfast, and transportation from/to Echigo Yuzawa station directly. Both the room and the bathroom are spacious and clean. The lobby arrangement feels comfy.

The toilet water is kind of too cold to wash hands abd face. The rooms located at 3rd floor can be difficult to get to with the steep stairs, especially after a exhausting day or with heavy luggage. The location is close to one of the snow resort lift, but not that close to the base where shuttle bus stops. And with its remote location, there is almost no restaurants or any convenient stores nearby after 18:00

The interior and design gives me a holiday home vibe, like when you stay in your grandparents house. We walk around the neighborhood happily like a kid. The room and the toilet are exceptionally clean. The sento and hot tub are very nice. Satoshi san and his family are very welcoming, they treat us like a family friend instead of guest. I stayed there with my friends for Fuji Rock Festival and Satoshi san provide pick up and transfer service from hotel to Echigo Yuzawa station for free. Arigatō gozaimasu.

The hotel is really cosy and we love the warmth and hospitality of Satoshi-san and his family. We opted for breakfast and it was delicious everyday - sitting in the dining room, watching the snow fall and having breakfast. Satoshi-san was very kind to fetch us to and from the train station and also to and from Gala Yuzawa for skiing because the ski resort just behind the hotel didn't have enough snow to open. We do not drive so it is a walk out to get dinner but we absolutely love the food from this restaurant called 'Sekiyama' which is just opposite 7-11. The ski rental at the hotel is also half the price of that at the ski resort - so it's extremely convenient and value-for-money. Communication before the stay was via Whatsapp and it was prompt and easy. Satoshi-san even told us that the ski resort has a fireworks performance in the evening, which we definitely would have missed if he did not tell us :) We Thank you Satoshi-san for your kindness and hospitality!

The wi-fi connection could be better but it was overall okay. :)

I love everything there. It’s above perfect place for those who wants to feel like home. The owner of the place, Mr Satoshi gave us a free ride from the train station & also bring us to the local supermarket. Whenever we need a favor he always try his best to help. The place also provide a free coffee/tea for the guest. The view from the common room is also had a nice ambience. The place have this private big bath place (like onsen) where you can use with your family. I also appreciate the ryokan style room we booked to experience the traditional Japanese way living. Even though the toilet are shared-type but all the toilet is well maintained & clean top-notch. I can write a lot more things for this place but to sum up it all, it is perfect! I would give 100 stars for this place. Definitely will come again.

Very neat and well-organized Japanese ryokan. The breakfasts were satisfying and nutritious. The host made sure our stay was all good, offered to drive us from the Echigo Yuzawa station upon arrival and departure, offered ski / snowboard equipment rental at reasonable price, and tickets for Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort at a discounted price. The ryokan is 5 minutes' walk to the main gate of Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort. Thank you Satoshi san for your hospitality!

Satoshi san was so helpful and dependable. We felt relieved when he extended his time and effort to pick up us from Nakazato yuzawa sta. instead of Echigo yuzawa sta. Overall, we were delighted and our expectation went beyond satisfaction. Osewa ni narimashita Satoshi san and the Staffs of Belle vue Nishiura. Maraming salamat. (Domo arigatou gozaimashita)
