Proximity to Kurashiki Bikan. Staff were excellent. pre booking was excellent able to just walk straight in. like the sustainable aspect only take what you need. Afternoon tea is a must...exceptional! liked the stay except for some areas...see further on Would stay again.

The bed was like cement. may as well have been sleeping on the floor. The rooms are not made up or bathrooms cleaned during a 3 night stay. Understand it is sustainable but... However Clean towels are left on benchin room and bin emptied

Walking distance from Kurashiki station. Very close to a convenient store. The Kurashiki bikan historical quarter (tourist place) is across the street. Less than 10 mins walking to Ohara Art Museum. Good access to restaurants. Afternoon tea is worth trying, with a great variety choices of tea (bags). Good relaxing pause for a trip.

About 12-15mins walk from Kurashiki station. Not bad, just be prepared of walking. The online check-in in advance didn't seem saved time when we arrived.

The location is excellent; rooms were clean and functional, staff were friendly, could store our luggage before arriving. We hadn't realised we'd get free afternoon tea; it was delightful! (We thought it'd be an old biscuit or something but it was a proper afternoon tea and we enjoyed every part of it!) It was very charming and Kurashiki is a lovely location. I would return, and I'd happily stay here again.

The location was extremely convenient for the historic quarter and the train station and had easy parking. The welcome tea was fabulous and very filling. We were very happy to have sheets as well as duvets and to be able to open the window, as we couldn't control the air conditioning. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The beds and pillows were a little too firm, and there wasn't very much room for large luggage. The fridge did not hold a lot and needed a tray removed to hold what it did.

The location of the hotel is only 2 minutes walk (effectively across the road) from the start of Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. Whilst the price and staff service was typical business hotel, the hotel lobby and the rooms were spacious and comfortable and much more like 3 or 4 star hotel. I would highly recommend arriving in time in the afternoon or early evening for their complementary afternoon tea as it is a amazing.

Wish they offered breakfast service as the cafes in the area all opened late.

Everything! The room was very spatious, the bathroom spotless, with a large bathtub. We got a free generous afternoon tea as a welcome gift which were surprisingly good quality. Free tea and coffee during the day. Reception was smooth and we could check in an hour before as the cleaning was done. It's just located in front of the historic center, and about 10-12 mn walking from Jr station. Very good value for money, highly recommend.

the room was very spacious and clean. location was on the quiet end of a street just across the start of the historic quarter. hotel was near a convenience store and restaurants and it was an easy 15 min walk to and from the train station.

this hotel had a podium versus an actual front desk, it was fine tho, just different from the usual hotel set up.

You were given a free afternoon tea with your stay which was amazing but it would be nice to receive 1 per week of stay as something extra to the people only staying a few nights. The 6000yen seemed a bit expensive if you wanted to purchase another. The wardrobe space was a it small.

It is the perfect location, within walking distance of the Bikan Historical Quarter. The staff was approachable, and the room was clean and spacious. For the affordable price, everything was great, and I definitely recommend it to those people who will stay in Kurashiki for travel.

No phone in the room, you need to go to the lobby to talk to the staff.

As reviewed by many, the free welcome afternoon tea service is simply unbelievable especially considering how cheaply priced the rooms are and that it is literally a stone's throw away from the historical quarter. There has been a few suggestions that there could be certain improvements but honestly, for the price, convenience and service (afternoon tea aside, the staff are polite and sweet), you simply CANNOT ask for more. Amazing, amazing value! P.s.: it's been mentioned in some reviews that there's no socket by the bed. While that's still the case, the drawer of the dresser table in my room included an extension cable and I was able to use that to plug the charger for my phone and put it on the bedside table.
