The OneFive Villa Fukuoka

We spent four nights at One Five Villa in Fukuoka. The hotel is centrally located, right opposite the Canal City, between Tenjin station and the old town, with great views of the river and the Nakasu yatai stalls. The room was spacious, with a seating area, large bathroom and an entrance hall where one can store luggage. The check in was easy and the Nepalese lady at the reception spoke good English and was always ready to help. The tea and sweets offered upon arrival were delicious. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel and it only takes 10-12 minutes to get to Tenzin station, the Daimaru Store or the Kushida Shrine. Also, for those with rental cars there are a lot of parking places around the hotel.

Fukuoka attracts more and more international tourists so if the rest of the staff spoke english as well it would be a plus.

The room is huge and comfortable. Bathroom is good size too. Very pleasant stay. One of the Vietnamese English speaking staff went over and above her duty to make sure we are given proper and complete info to a question we asked her. She even left us a long letter/instruction in our room before she left for the day to make sure we got the instructions correctly. She took time to write instructions in Japanese so we can simply show the train stations so we won't get lost. We appreciated that very much.

Breakfast was really fresh and good for 2 days then it becomes redundant. The food is good but it's basically the same everyday so we couldn't stay longer because of lack of variety.

had a room with a nice view of the river on the fourth floor. plenty of room to stretch out. we were there for 4 nights. good location - plenty of restaurants etc close by.

breakfasts were unimaginative and monotonous. the layout of the shower room, toilet room and basin hand wash room was a nightmare; three doors to squeeze through. Room cleaning a bit off. one day a good clean and service. other days - taking rubbish out only. Would have like to know this before we booked.

Lovely little hotel located next to the canal and near most important sightseeing places in the city. If staying here, having a balcony with a view is a must! The tea time offered is excellent and the bar below is a nice place to relax and enjoy a drink with a lovely view.

The hotel is not a 4-star establishment. It's just like any other 3-star hotel around the world. Finally, just one thing to take in consideration (more of a heads up than a bad thing): the hotel is RIGHT in the middle of the red-light district of the city. So it's surrounded by adult clubs and love hotels. Again, nothing wrong (and mostly our fault for not investigating) but something to consider if you're traveling with the family.

- Location was great - Facilities were quite complete - Hotel was very clean & modern - Room was spacious (although I’d recommend rooms without terrace, as the terrace eats up space despite getting good view)

- Amenities had to be collected downstairs, which was fine except that we continuously forgot so had to go back down to take stuff (btw they don’t provide shower caps) - Reception didn’t speak much English, but check in process was mostly automated so it was OK

The hotel location is very convenient. It closes to most of the attractive locations and public transportations (bus, JR train, high-speed train) at Hakata and Tenjin stations. I am really appreciate the welcome "afternoon treat" package.

It is a little cluster within the restroom, bathroom, and washing sink. The doors are closed to each other, and is hard to navigate around.

Location with nice river view and helpful staff.

No telephone in the room to connect to reception or other hotel staff. We also got locked in our room and couldn’t open the door. Luckily, we had family staying in the next room and they contacted maintenance to open the door so that we could get out. Then they repaired the lock but it was a frightening experience.

Excellent Location. Complimentary Hi-tea set upon check-in was a very nice surprise. Beautiful view of the river.

The only thing i find strange was that for both days when we asked for the room to be cleaned, the bed linen was not touched or tidied. The bed was left entirely untouched.

The breakfast at IL palazzo is a great idea. Breakfast line was superb , Welcome snack was nice and delicious .

Separate beds for two people is recommended. Staff couldn’t call the taxi to pick up at the hotel . We had to walk to the main Street and wait at the curbside which was inconvenient. However , one lady staff could manage to book a taxi to the airport for us on the last day.

Very well located hotel, next to city center. Room is spacious, bedding is very good as well a all equipments.

I did not appreciate that breakfast consisted of little sandwiches in a bag, which was deposited on the door knob of the room. Sandwich were good but I prefer European style breakfast. No coffee machine either (but tea ok).
