very good location, near the city center, clean and big room. The bath on the top floor has a nice view on the sea.

I was very, very disappointed that there was no open bath/rotenburo on the top floor available to all, but only by reservation and additional fees. The hotel is at the sea side, so really cannot understand such policy.

The hotel is directly on Beppu bay, we had a great sea view from our room and could see the sunrise. The structure is a bit dated but has various advantages including the size of the room and the bathroom (we chose the Japanese room), the comfort of the tatami, the cleanliness, the quality of the bath and onsen products, the 'private onsen for couples or families, parking. The typical Japanese breakfast is excellent and very accurate. The staff does not speak English but is very helpful and kind.

The room does not have blackout curtains and therefore the light enters from 5.30, I would suggest the hotel to provide

Loved the sea view and in room private sento/bath. Room was spacious, breakfast was amazing, staff were great.

Location was challenging but good overall, Beppu is larger than we anticipated and buses were very crowded/not readily available even in off season. Make sure you choose a location closer to what you'll be doing. When it was time to leave the hotel tried to call us a cab but they were too busy lol

Love the Ryukan style breakfast. It was an amazing experienced.

The sink in our room was outdated and mole around the edges. The carpet in the hallway and wallpaper were outdated. The room we had breakfast view of the ocean was amazing, but the window needed cleaning.

The dinner and breakfast served was delicious!! The location was also very convenient to Beppu station

The room was a bit old, the public baths upstairs felt a bit underwhelming compared to other onsen hotels.

We actually booked two nights but we booked them separately that we were supposed to change room. The staff arranged the room for us that we did not need to change room for the second night. The onsen in our room was quite nice.

It was quite old, the building and the room but they have everything we need.

it was great location with room right on the ocean. could not fault any part of our three night stay. food was exceptional, as were the facilities and staff.

They serve good dinner and breakfast. Room was moderately spacious but comfortable. Would return for another stay in the future.

I thought we opt for private onsen room when we booked the room but apparently there isn’t one.

Location is very close to the sea and the restaurant (とよ常 本店). The seaview of the room is great. We paid for the hot spring on the roof. It is worth for JPY1,000.
