The chef and staff were very nice, friendly, and kind but $10 for breakfast was too much considering that you get only 2 pancakes, some eggs, and a cup of tea. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful. The complex is gated with 24 hour security which is nice also. It is in close proximity to everything.

There is not enough room on the outside for you to enjoy a walk or simply sit down and relax in the shade.

Had the Jamaican Breakfast, the kitchen and Hotel staff were amazing. The room was quite spacious and clean. Will definitely be visiting again soon. The historical knowledge is valuable, if you visit (ask the staff) amazing story. The receptionists told stories of the hotel's history, got recommendations for dining and partying 🎉🎈. They were very helpful.

The property doesn't have a bar lounge area but they did have refreshments on sale... For the Restaurant you'll need cash. Other than that, amazing overall experience!

The staff were kind and friendly the room was comfy and clean. The location was excellent tucked away on a small quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of traffic.

There was nothing to dislike in my opinion had conversations with the staff everyday and it was always pleasurable and light hearted all our needs were met

This hotel was very clean, it had one of the best staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. They helped with anything, and they were always very polite. The room was comfortable, clean, and cozy. I will definitely return. The location was great it was in the middle of Kingston.

The water got hot, but not for too long.

Everything about this location was up to my expectations. Seeing that i was traveling alone and a female I was sceptical about where I would stay. But seeing the reviews of previous guest I decide to try this place and I must say I found me a place to stay whenever I'm traveling to Kingston. Amazingly good!!!

The location was ok , the room was clean

There was only 1 wash rag, unable to call reception desk with phone , only busy tone, the tv what poor signal quality for watching, the AC kept making noise, the bedhead kept making noise was coming off and on the bed waking my partner.

The previous reviews do not do justice to Shirley. This hotel is in a safe area, close to everything. The front desk had an amazing young woman who was friendly, helpful and went out of her way to accommodate me. The bed is amazingly comfortable, the room are large with a walk in shower, & fridge. I am a single white female, i even walked alone, seven blocks to get dinner, and felt safe. My go to place in the future.

I do not like the negative reviews on such a beautiful place.

I like the environment, the area, the quietness, the feeling inside was great,was comfy, the blankets were so soft and comfortable, there is this man there that works from in the evening hours to 6am I don't remember his name, OMG,he deserves an award he is so so nice, friendly and helpful, such a nice guy,I would come back here mainly because of nice the place was and the gentleman that works there,both of them are really helpful and friendly but I must give recognition to the one that does night shift until 6am.

Everything was okay. The only issue I had was I couldn't get anything cold to drink or piece of ice and no warm water was in the shower.

Everyone super friendly and helpful with directions and any assistance, accommodating. Great location, centrally located. Comfortable, quiet and AC was perfect. I stayed for 5 days and enjoyed every minute. Would definitely recommend!

There was nothing I could say negative, I found everything met and exceeded my expectations from comfort, staff friendliness and the perfect location.

Loved the staff and their attentiveness and being accommodating. Unfortunately on such a short stay there was not much to greatly access. Discovered cold storage in the morning. Room was clean except for one strand of hair in the bath. Thank for a good stay. Would be encouraged to try it again!

The unavailability of a hot beverage service of some sort...noting curfew curtails purchase of food. For a late night arival this would have been very welcoming.
