Hotel San Moisè

The position is perfect, right in the center among the nice shops and restaurants. Our room was having a channel view and it was worth it, I could have stayed for hours watching gondolas passing by. This view is one of my greatest memories of Venice. Breakfast was nice and the stuff was managing very good serving it, without making anyone wait, even thou there were quite a lot of people. The room was very clean and cured. The staff were helping to bring bags up the stairs. The man at reception was very helpful and friendly.

Thirst thing that we were told by the woman at the reception, that our room is for two, and we have to additionally pay for the third bed and that it doesn’t matter what is written in my confirmation (my confirmation letter was for 3 people). Since we refused to pay additionally, we were brought to the room with 3 beds anyway. So they were just trying to collect money twice, be aware of this trick. Also, the room was much smaller than at description on booking.com and I’m still not sure if we were really having the room that we have ordered, thou the window view was right as we ordered.))The woman at reception was rude and even insulting. Luckily there was a man the next day and we have changed the perception of a hotel to the better.

We had an incredibly beautiful, spacious room with a walk out balcony overlooking the canal. It was fantastic! We had free entertainment daily just by walking out onto the balcony and watching the gondolas and listening to some amazing singers. The hot breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was air conditioning. We were there during a heat wave, but they consider 27 degrees Celsius in the room as acceptable. True, we were offered a portable A/C which worked one night. Nevertheless, were very happy with out 5 day stay.

We loved our three nights at this hotel. The staff swapped our room for an excellent one with a view of the canal at no extra charge. If you're looking for the classic romantic Venetian feel with all modern conveniences combined, this is the perfect hotel! The location is perfect for exploring most of the main tourist attractions. The room's climate control is excellent and the bathroom facilities were great. The breakfast is pretty solid, whether you prefer a sweet or savory one. The friendly staff was very helpful in trying to help us find a lost bracelet.

The room was like a period scene totally fitting in with the venetian look. Breakfast was included and sufficient in size to last most of the day touring the sights. The location of hotel San moise was unbelievable it is located down a side alleyway just 150 meters from St Marks Square. Fantastic Price was decent for the area NO complaints from US.

Outside lacked a touch paint / tidying up.

hotel is very well placed, 2 min from San Marco. our room was big enough, the breakfasts are very good with a lot of choice. the personal is ready to help with everything. we were leaving too early for breakfast and they gave us everything we wanted as takeaway.

the building is old and there is mostly no sound isolation between rooms and the corridor. you can hear people talking on the phone, walking in their room and so on. it’s very hot in the building! we had to open the windows the first night and had plenty of mosquitoes coming in.

Great location. The hotel is located in a 1600 year old building. Walking distance to Parish Church of Saint Moisè. Closest Ferry stop is "S. Marco Vallaresso" which is just a few minutes on foot. Piazza San Marco (St. Mark's Square) which us the central point is just 350m from the Hotel. The family room was very spacious and had comfortable beds. The temperature was perfect. They had a good breakfast buffet with a good variety, which included breads and cakes, sausages, bacon, scrambles eggs, salami, yoghurt, cornflakes, jams, tarts, juices etc. (However due to health reasons, we were not allowed to touch any food and a friendly lady was there to serve us anything we wanted). They also had a coffee machine. I selected this hotel after considering several options and I was not disappointed for a second and will stay there in my next visit.

None. Everything was as expected for a hotel in this price range.

The location is excellent. It takes about 10 minutes to stroll from the Alilaguna stop for San Marco. Although the hotel is located near all the very exclusive shops, it is tucked away in a quiet street. It is an easy 5 minute stroll to St Mark’s Square. We had a canal view from our windows and could watch the gondolas going past.

When we were there, there was a lot of building work going on in the street. Barges carrying all the materials were moored up in the adjacent canal and trolleys were used to transport things to the building site. Consequently, during the day, it was very noisy. Obviously this should be a temporary situation. There is no lift in the hotel. We were on the second floor so had four sets of stairs to climb. This might be a problem for some people. Our room and bathroom were small but for the location it was good value.

Location was just perfect. it was 2 minutes by walk after leave the boat on San Marco station. heart of the San Marco, at the same time so quiet. I was surprise that much silent even that much City center. It is not a luxury hotel but I think I got 100% value for the price I paid. Breakfast was included but I did not get breakfast. we had only a coffee in the beautiful garden...

The only think I can suggest, they can change air aspirator in the bathroom. it was noisy :) Light and aspirator button was working together. First I suggest to fix aspirator then to separate light and aspirator button. :)

The perfect place near the canal and San Marco square. The most convenient thing is location, as well as the perfect breakfast - you can take sramblled eggs with bacon and sausages, make some sandwiches (2 diff sorts of bread, 2 diff sorts of cheese and 2 diff sorts of meat) cherry tomatoes, different fruits and amazing desserts! 3 or 4 diff juices, coffee, milk - you never stay hungry hear! Room is quite small but cozy , in red color and traditional local venice style. Beds are comfortable, shower is a little incovenience but for me it is ok. Room service great and every day. At night there was a little noisy because of food delivery, and at midnight you can hear clock tower bell from San Marco)

One of managers at the reception was a little impolite and even could not provide any info about restaurants or bars near around the hotel where we were able to eat in the evening or at night.

The room was beautiful and full of character, very spacious with windows overlooking the canal. The communal areas were full of period furniture and the courtyard was like something straight out of Romeo and Juliet. Really friendly staff, lovely breakfast and the view from the breakfast room window is beautiful. A 4 minute walk to the boat to and from the airport, 4 minute walk into St Mark's Square and a 10 minute walk to the Rialto bridge, perfect location.

Everything really was lovely, if I could have made one improvement it would have been to increase the water pressure on the shower, but in the grand scheme of things this did not affect our stay.
