NH Savona Darsena

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, we stayed in several hotels during our trip, the price was reasonable compared to other hotels we stayed in, it was modern and clean, there was air conditioning throughout the hotel. The room was clean and pretty roomy, there were sky tv channels available and we enjoyed the Italian Harry Potter channel! There is underground parking very close to the hotel and it’s only around €10 a night. The main town, beaches and other sights a quite a walk away but worth it/not to far. There are also some nice restaurants very close too. The staff were very helpful and helped answer our questions, also from what we were told this hotel may be part of a group so I would recommend looking at this brand if you’re travelling in Italy as they give rewards/points.

NH Savona Darsena is located into the heart of an high profile urban revamping and it's a valuable part of it with its very nice high-tech architecture, very functional and captivating. Plenty of well designed pedestrian areas around, very close to nice city center thank to the new pedestrian bridge and not too far from railway station too, 1,5 km of nice walk through the whole city center, mostly under porches so that even in the case of heat waves or rain it's easy, and even enjoyable, to get there by feet. Breakfast is excellent, personnel very polite and helpful.

Hotel has been simply perfect, nothing should be changed.

We did not book with breakfast. The rooms are modern and comfortable as you would expect from NH. The public garage next door is easily accessible, though it can fill up quickly. There's a station for refreshments in the lobby that we liked. It's mostly quiet, though pub sounds can be heard at night, but we didn't find it problematic at all. The staff is very friendly.

Speed of free internet is throttled to outdated performance, and mobile internet reception wasn't ideal either. We got along with it, but given the level of hotel prices in 2023, and how our society has evolved, reliable and fast internet is something I expect as a given from ANY hotel except small, private, outdated places in the country-side. If a modern chain-affiliated hotel charges me on reasonable internet, I feel ripped off. - Apart from that, it was really a nice night in Savona. The number of words doesn't equal the influence it had on the overall impression.

The hotel is very modern. Rooms are large and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. There s an underground car park but only a few spaces and it cannot be booked. However we were able to fit all 3 of our motorcycles.

The shower tray is a hazard. It s slanted sideways and I slipped several times. There are grooves which hurt your feet. I ended up putting a towel in the tray so as not to fall.Not great! All in the name of style! There are annoying little red lights flicking all night in the ceiling and the curtains didn't close properly leaving light coming through. Given the price of a room 145 euros, it should be perfect.

The staffs in the reception all are super friendly however I should mention about one name (Nadia) who is exceptional. Apart from handing our booking professionally she took her time came with us all the way from reception to show where the garage door was as we were unable to open. She stood at the door holding the both door open until we bring our luggage as the door can not be opened from inside if we left it close and need to take another exit. As it was a family trip I had couple of luggages and she offered us if she can help us with the luggages which I gladly reject as I find she already has done a lot. Finally, I had to shorten up my visit due to a personal issue and had to leave a day earlier than planned. The hotel manager was super friendly and I got full refund of last day. Regarding hotel, rooms are pretty big and spacious. There is nice view of the harbour from the Balcony. The breakfast was really worth the price and my boy was happy.

There isn’t anything that actually irritates me.

Good location, right in the middle of the waterfront. Lots of really good restaurants right there! The hotel is well maintained and very clean, rooms are ample, our suite was very large with a large covered and enclosed balcony. The old town is across the way, close by and you can easily walk to the fort and park. Past the park is a really commercial promenade, with the entire beach area privatized and divided up into small private beach areas (pay to enter). Savona needs some TLC. A beautiful city, hidden underneath a rough exterior. Animal owners need to clean up after pets (A LOT. EVERY WHERE and a terrible shame because the city has a lot to offer).

Our seaview suite didn't have much of a seaview. Mostly surrounded by other buildings. (But it was very nice!)

Staff staff staff! Nadia at the reception is one of the best i have met throughout my travels and is definitely a reason to lift NH ratings. She is super and goes out of her way to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. I had some complications to sort out and Nadia was amazing in helping. Valentina was also very nice and supportive and very professional. Thank you both! Location of the hotel is also very good and facilities are very clean with comfortable bed and linen. Check in/out were efficient fast and easy

very clean property and the staff were so nice. It was a very nice location with everything needed (coffee shop, restaurant, supermarket, town, beach etc.) being very close to the hotel.

when we booked the hotel we booked a double bed and was given 2 single beds put together. we asked for it to be changed and was given another room with 2 single beds put together so we assumed that was the double bed. Also the air conditioner wasn’t working properly as we tried to put the temperature down and the air con started turning on and off and wouldn’t stop.

Great and comfortable hotel. Very quiet room with big comfy bed. Good bathroom. Breakfast was delicious (although quite expensive). Friendly staff. Great location in the harbor area and walking distance from the old town and beaches. Would stay here again.

Complementary water in the room would have been nice.

Overall good value for someone wanting a hotel with standards. I love Italy, but a lot of hotels are dated, so happy to have NH there. AC worked great compared to other hotels.

Rented scooter was supposed to last for 15km. Lasted maybe 8 or so. Other Guests were a bit annoying bc some people love open windows and others love a solid cold AC and no need to open windows. A nice hotel like this just cannot make it right for everyone.
