Relais Castrum Boccea

Breakfast was perfectly fine. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist Roberta who assisted us in getting a taxi to our next destination. Due to the remoteness of the hotel, transportation must be booked a day in advance. From the suites there's a nice vista of the Castrum Boccea estate and the surrounding countryside.

Transportation is difficult to obtain, and very expensive. I strongly suggest that guest rent their own cars and explore the countryside. Assuming you feel comfortable with Italian drivers on narrow roads, that is.

Beautiful setting -- just 30 minutes from FCO. A convenient place to stay when coming or going into Rome's airport. Good meal, though a limited menu. Views of sunflower fields from the hotel.

From the photos, I thought there's be a swimming pool. Alas, no pool. Just some lovely fountains and shallow ponds. Limited menu -- but food was good. We needed to keep the window open -- but when the window is open, the AC and any fan does not work.

The staff at reseption was great, but at the breakfast and bar truly awesome. Just before leaving we got 5 liters of drinking water refill from them and the breakfast has been the best in last 10 days in Italy

The room was quite small for 4 person family and the air conditioning was not enough to cool the room down. Wife had cold shower during night😀. Writing that it was 44 durin the day in Rome and it was a really hot time.

The hotel is located in a very nice, rural surrounding. No traffic, no noise. The breakfast is superb, unusual in Italy, European style, even fresh fruit is served.

The 6-bed room is great that with 5 people we can fit into a single room, but there is not much furniture beyond the beds and a large wardrobe. Still, this is only a minor point.

Superb location in medieval walls with nice views from roof over countryside. Staff were all excellent and either spoke very good English or made great accommodation to our little bit of Italian. Comfortable bed and room adjacent to bar/breakfast room and Taverna restaurant. Bathroom good with super shower water pressure and plenty of hot water. Would stay again without hesitation. Excellent value in fall.

Staff at the pizzeria on the estate were a bit unorganized.

Lovely charming place and super friendly staff! If you're looking for a quiet peaceful getaway then this is a great option that's not too far from Rome.

It was far from public transportation and there is not much to do within walking distance. Would have been a 10/10 if we had our own car.

Very close to Rome which is good for a quick stop if you need to sleep for low price and close to the city/airport. This place is very beautiful with a lot of attention to details.

The breakfast has very few options and the room is a bit cold.

The property was beautiful and location convenient yet in a very peaceful area. We particularly enjoyed spending time with the local cats, who were friendly but not intrusive. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was decent. The breakfast was delicious.

The beds were not very comfortable.

it is in a beautiful location, very picturesque. a charming hotel with rooms in different buildings, medieval in lool and feel but still very comfortable with all ammenities. we stayed one night but would have enjoyed to stay longer. breakfast was great for Italy and served on a beautiful terrace, until 10:30. staff was kind and helpful. would recommend

The restaurant on site is excellent and the staff were very friendly. Our room was small, but clean and rustic. Very good value for money. The outside areas and gardens were also very nice!

It's a pity that there is no pool on site. You definitely need a car to visit here as there is not much nearby. Breakfast could have had a better selection.
