Hotel Virgilio

Super kind staff who went our of their way to make us feel welcome. When we arrived, we had not had dinner yet but the kitchen was officially closed. The staff went above and beyond to serve us an excellent dinner anyway, including a delicious desert. The restaurant was amazing and very affordable. Breakfast included a good assortment of fruit and a large choice of everything you need and more. The swimming pool is small but clean and calm. Our room was fine, it had everything we needed and a small balcony.

I cannot think of anything that would have made this place better.

It was a very welcoming stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In the afternoon they serve free tea and Vin Brulé, which makes the reception very warm and fragrant. There was also the option to order well served drinks. Breakfast food was very good and with local products as juice from their orchard's fruits, and sausages and salamis from their family farm. In some photos the hotel may look a little old, but it's not. Everything is very new, clean and comfortable. The xmas decoration was lovely as well. We loved the stay.

Breakfast is a buffet, but it's all served by them. This is good because it is much more hygienic, but on the other hand, it makes you have to choose items in a hurry not to create a long queue.

This hotel was more like a 4 star. It looked so new inside, everything modern and clean. We loved the pool area, loungers, outdoor restaurant, lots of space to hangout and relax. We had two children with us and it was like having our own apartment, great setup. Cool large bathroom too, big shower, all top notch. Their breakfast selection was amazing, they took such pride in everything and were lovely helpful people. And the evening meals were high standard. All good here!

It's a little out of the town centre, maybe a 20 minute walk. They offer free bikes though.

air conditioning cooling doesn’t work well under 25 degrees - was hot and hard to sleep. elevator does not work during the night and early morning - had to take baby with stroller through the steps at 5:30 am. morning breakfast is still served in the “covid” state while the food is inaccessible and you are served by a person without a glass. I don’t really get it since this still creates a line so no real Covid avoidance here.. sounds like a way to minimize food cost and amount of food you take.

Excellent value for money. Kind, helpful staff. Good location of the hotel - 20 minutes leisurely walk to the center and promenade. Good buffet service. Ample free parking. Pets are welcome for a nominal fee. Large outdoor pool, gorgeous mountain views. The hotel offers free bicycles for exploring the city.

The room is clean and spacious, but there are little things that need repairing, but this is not critical.

Location might be a just little bit far away from city centre but there is a really good option to rent for free a bicycle from the hotel. Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms big, clean and with beautiful mountain view. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Big parking space. We enjoyed our stay and decided to stay for few more days.

The breakfast was really fantastic! All regional and homemade products! We really appreciated that :-) Very helpfull and kind personal, the room was big enough, the hotel has a swimming pool, bar and you can rent a bikes. If we will come back to Lago di Garda, we will definitely choose this hotel again, even it is not so close to the centre.

the hotel itself was good, and the rooms were comfortable and nice, the service is also very kind and welcome. i would think it's a good value for the money.

breakfast was supposed to be buffet but you had to be served by the hostesses of the hotel and we didn't really like that because it kinda created confusion on getting what you like or not, and with the idea of the buffet itself. and also the location is kinda far from the Riva. you def need bikes/car.

We travelled around the lake district (Lake Como, Lake Garda, Lake Maggiore) and thought the breakfast at this hotel was the best. You could see the care and attention they put into it. A lot of the food was homemade. Their detox juice was exceptional. The free bikes was also a nice touch and we used them frequently.

Air con only comes on times they allow and doesn’t allow you to set the temperature. So one minute you’re very cold. Next minute very hot.
