Alfonso has been an amazing host during our stay. He brought fresh pastries every morning, treated us with coffee and tea and spent time with us to discuss about Palermo and the main attractions to visit. He certainly made us feel like home. His suggestions about places to visit, restaurants etc. were very well suited based on our plans. We would absolutely recommend Ai tre Mercati to anyone (couples, singles) who want to visit Palermo. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the city and we could easily find parking very close to the hotel.

We booked a room for 4 that was equipped with 1 double bed and two single beds. Unfortunately the single beds weren't very comfy.

Alfonso is an incredible host! The pastries served at breakfast will live in my dreams for years! The location is terrific with so many major things to see within meters and within short walking distances. My room was large and clean and it was great having a small lift to get a heavy bag upstairs. I booked this due to the excellent reviews and they did not disappoint.

The B&B is on a busy street which mostly has only pedestrian access but if you are a light sleeper you might benefit from earplugs like I did and I had no trouble sleeping.

The property was in the beautiful ‘centro storico’, optimally situated and within a 10-15 min walking distances from all of the key historical and cultural sites of Palermo, as well as the train station. The host Alfonso was a true ‘gem’ and a most gracious ‘guide’ to his city of Palermo. So kind and attentive to all of his guests, including a solo traveller like me. He was able to assist me in ALL of my needs and inquiries, from the moment I booked (!) and also provided me with a personalized ‘guide’ to his favorites of the city of Palermo. ‘Ottimo’ hospitality! Fabulous breakfast with artiginal pastries served at breakfast with fresh fruits, yogurt, coffee and teas. Wonderful!

We had a third bed for my 85 year old mom which was super comfortable and sturdy for a folding bed- the shower was amazing and the location perfect for food and walkable sites in Palermo. Alfonso could not have been more friendly, available and accommodating. Meeting us for arrival- offering an amazing breakfast and giving exceptional parking and driving instructions (don’t have a car unless you have to). He even helped us navigate a mix up with meeting some local cousins. The building is charming and the room has all modern comforts.

I wish we had planned to stay longer.

We loved staying at Ai Tre Mercati! The room was spacious and we loved stepping out on our balcony to view the hustle and bustle of Palermo! The location is excellent--walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. The best part of this B&B would be Alfonso! He served a wonderful breakfast of pastries and sandwiches and took the time to explain the history of the area and pointed out places to visit on a map. We loved our stay and highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Palermo!

This property was perfect!

The location is unmatched, just a walking distance to all major attractions in Palermo Alfonso was a great host, very hospitable, he wanted to make sure your stay is good and memorable. He helped me navigate my sightseeing, recommended food, places to visit, small towns to visit and how, just like a good old friend! He arranged my Airport transfer as well (for a cost). Alfonso went to the bakery every morning to get fresh pastries. He served fresh fruits, some from his farm. His hospitality is one of a kind.

Noises. my bedroom is next to main street and an alley, two garbage dumpsters. merchants throwing trash throughout the night and the truck came collecting it in the early morning hours, making big loud bang each times it dropped the dumpsters. if one is a deep sleeper, one would be fine. But if you need a good sleep, bring ear plugs.

The location, in the historical centre was brilliant. We had come to focus on culture and cuisine. All main historical sites of Palermo within 15 mins walk. We relied heavily for food recommendations of our host, Alfonso. When we arrived he provided us with a welcome coffee and range of Sicilian pastries. Devine. He then proceeded to input all the sights and restaurants we should experience. It was his culinary recommendations which clearly showed he had undertaken personal research. He booked the two restaurants he recommended and our taxi to and from the airport. He advised us to visit Monreale and Cefalu. Really worth a visit. It was our first time in Sicily. Alfonso was knowledgable and welcoming with a real pride in Palermo and Sicily. In fact everyone we met had a similar outlook. Palermo is a real melting pot with nationalities and ethnicities from all over the world. At one restaurants we we were waited on by a Romanian at another by a young man whose family was from Sri Lanka and a young woman from Poland. There were people from the Indian sub-continent, south east Asia none of whom were tourists. Alfonso has a right to be proud of the service he provides and how Sicilians seem determined to become known for much more positive things.

We were in the heart of a city which loves to socialise and have fun on the streets through the night. It was 'lively' all night. That was the price paid for all the other positives

We had a very pleasent stay. Alfonso is a super kind and friendly host. Breakfasts were delicious, rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The place is very well located (close to major tourist attractions, but also to the bus and train stations from which you can reach the airport, or other cities ib Sicily).

As the windows were facing one of the major pedestrian streets and the room was located very close to the reception and the breakfast area, the level of noise was a bit higher than we would have like it. You might want to remember to take your earplugs with you if you're travelling over the weekend and want to get some good sleep ;)

We spent two nights in this B&B for the final stay on our trip to Sicily. We were really quite taken aback by the effort the host went to to ensure we saw the best sights in the area. He sat us down upon arrival and explained the local attractions to us, so we could make the most of our short stay. This is way above what we would normally expect from accommodation. On top of that, the breakfast was excellent, and we were able to be provided food very early for our return flight. The room was also very spacious.

We couldn't actually fault the place

- Alfonso the host is a delight, very caring, has great recommendations about what to visit, where to eat, what to do in Palermo - the facility is modern, decorated with taste, and clean - AC in each room (in hot Palermo) was a pleasant feature - the location makes it an ideal place to stay - the breakfast was delicious and generous - I will definitely come back when I visit Sicily soon

I loved everything. Really felt like home or visiting family. 😊
