Hotel Ulisse

When we arrive at the Ulisse Hotel, we always feel so at home as everyone welcomes you with open arms. Our room was exceptional with a view of the castle. The location is the best, a walk to the castle, the beaches and Porto, all was so perfect! Our second time to stay with you and not our last time! I thank all of you for always making us feel so welcome when we arrive! Breakfast was excellent with excellent service, the cleaning staff are amazing! I highly recommend to stay at the Ulisse hotel! loved the view from the room balcony and rooftop. Lift, great breakfast choice, and convenient having a pool- The bruschetta I ate there too was absolutely delicious!

Super tiny bathroom and had a constant dripping sound that couldn’t be turned off. The rooftop wasn’t open early morning (7am) to see sunset. A shame to miss that since it has optimum view point. note- some room balconies are shared. (mine was)

Amazing view from the rooftop terrace! Aragonese castle right in front of you! Very cute room, vacay feeling! big balcony and could see the ocean. Little grocery shops close by to buy water, snacks and beer etc.. There are little buses running between near hotel and the port. Cleaning is so quick and amazing! Very friendly and nice cleaning ladies. :) There was a lady at reception who is super helpful and efficient! Thank you!

Breakfast was alright. Taste a bit cheap.. especially croissant and fruits juice. Pastries were quite good though. People who works at breakfast looked a bit stressed, no smiles, except a young guy.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Ulisse. We had a fantastic view of Castel Aragonese from the balcony of our sea view room and there were very good restaurants nearby. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were kept very clean. Our daughter, who is coeliac, was given a fantastic selection of items for breakfast, which was very much appreciated. The pool was very welcome during hot snd sunny August.

We booked two single rooms and they were basic but functional. We had everything we needed for our short 2-night stay. I had an amazing balcony attached to my room which would not be out of place in one of the more expensive hotels as the view was spectacular. The location of the hotel is superb, with great shops within a few minutes walk, and beaches and cafes are easily accessible. The hotel may not be grand but it has way more facilities than expected, swimming pools (yes two), a poolside bar, a restaurant and a beauty centre. They have free Wi-Fi and the breakfast is absolutely exceptional. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. We took a taxi around the Island for a fixed price and that was incredible, our guide Andrea, spoke some English and was born on the island so knew a lot of the history (contact info in photos). All-in-all, great value for money and a lovely experience staying there. Highly recommend and look forward to my next visit.

The space in the bathroom is very tiny (I'm tall so I notice more than the average person) but given the price we paid and how great the hotel is, it's not an issue.

To start, they made arrangements to check us in early. The room was beautiful and clean. Big bed which was comfy, as were the pillows. Nice balcony with a small clothes line and table and chairs. Breakfast was delicious, a range of cakes, cheese, meats, bread, jams, juices, coffee/tea, eggs, bacon. I am gluten free and they brought me out a basket of gluten free options! Bread, cakes, biscuits. Friendly staff and great location - 2min to a beautiful beach overlooking Mt Vesuvius and the castle, beautiful terrace with the same view, 10 min walk through the main street shops to the port, lots of restraints left or right out the front door. Everything! This was our favorite place to stay in all of Italy! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the room we had was dark and quiet and I had the best sleeps there, the pool area is gorgeous with plants and flowers and the warm pool is a perfect temperature, the roof top view is amazing, the breakfast delicious with friendly hosts, and the hotel is located in a perfect location between the castle with delicious restaurants and the town with shops and more good restaurants.

Sometimes the wifi did not connect.

Extremely helpful, informative, considerate reception on arrival - didn't catch his name, but our host was absolutely fabulous throughout our stay. We were given a free room upgrade, with a terrace overlooking the castello - I guess simply because the room was available. We had opted for half board - perfect choice - excellent set evening menu and abundance variety for the buffet breakfast. Superb value for money. Peaceful pool area, with convenient snack bar. Amazing panoramic views from the terrace

That we only had 1 night here!! Wish we had been able to stay longer...

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool area was clean with plenty of lounge chairs. Rooms were well appointed with plenty of towels. Beach restaurants a short walk away. Balcony area on third floor offers great view of the castle. Overall, location is good and very quiet.

No restaurant dinner service in the hotel until 8pm, this is not a criticism, just too late for us. Would have been nice if room had a blanket, howevet, there might have been one available from housekeeping, we didn't ask.

This hotel is located in the perfect place to explore Ischia, which is the most beautiful island. The hotel is literally 5 minutes walk to the beach and also in the centre of the 2 main shopping/eating areas. It is tucked away, so very quiet with tremendous views of the Castel Arogonese. Paying extra for a sea view is essential. Breakfast was first class and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is a little dated but this almost adds to its charm. We really enjoyed our stay.
