Grand Hotel Entourage - Palazzo Strassoldo

Historical value of the hotel building. Spacious room with good ancient furniture. Convenient location, restaurants, bars , shops all easy reach. Friendly staff front and back. Gave good information about the town & its history :-) Breakfast was ok, friendly energetic breakfast lady :-)

Lack of knowledge about local transport to Nova Gorica. We were advised only taxi option. For your information, there is also a local mini bus - Int Bus goes directly from Piazza della Vittoria to Nova Gorica, bus ticket 1.30 Eur can be bought directly from the bus driver, no need to look for Tabacco shop for tickets :-)

The room and the bathroom was very big, hot water had good pressure. We could check-in late at night. We only stayed for one night to rest during our trip. It was good that we find free parking in front of the hotel for the night. We also liked that the breakfast started early, at 7 am.

The breakfast was very basic. Also the bread arrived 20 minutes later, around the time we finished our breakfast. :)

Great location. Beautiful building. Lovely room, good size.

Very hot weather. Returned to room later that night. Air-conditioner not working, had to ring reception a few times to get it to work. No water, or anything in fridge. Had to ask for some as we were very hot. Would think you would not be charged for water, after all of that.

This is a great little hotel, very central, in a beautiful town. The building was originally a palace occupied by French princes and then the church. It has been tastefully renovated and furnished but is neither glitzy nor busy. It is within a short walk from bars, restaurant and a hilltop castle. Parking at the property.

No issues

Booked this stay at last minute due to issues with lost luggage delaying our travels but it was comfortable and clean which is exactly what we were after. The staff were super helpful and assisted in booking a taxi for us to get across the border to Slovenia.

The rooms are a little tired but still clean and nice none the less.

Central location and excellent facilities. Helpful receptionists with excellent information about the city. If it weren't for their help, I wouldn't have had dinner since on Mondays practically all the local restaurants are closed.

Great location just below the castle. Very spacious room.

Lack of fresh fruit options. A bowl of whole fruit dewy from the fridge is not enough. Checkin time of 2.30pm rigidly applied in a time of low occupancy. Bar fridge in room not working.

Nice hotel in a historical building. Beautiful breakfast room with lovely-designed lights that emphasize the palazzo atmosphere. Convenient parking in the inner courtyard. A nice experience, especially when you think of historical and scientific personalities who walked these corridors.

This hotel is in an amazing old building, like an old villa, very impressive. The room was huge, the bathroom a good size. Breakfast was good too, Italian style. We had a pleasant stay

The rooms are large with a great bath & shower. We got to know some of the staff over our 2 day stay. In a lovely square with great food and pubs near by.

They have a full continental buffet breakfast, some warm bacon eggs and sausage would have been nice.
