The lobby has kind of an outdated grandeur, which I liked. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room has a huge balcony with stunning views over the newer part of the city and the mountains in the background. Car parking is convenient.
The name is wrong! The sign outside says Grand Hotel Abruzzo instead of Grande Albergo Abruzzo, which caused me confusion and a detour. The first room they gave me was full of cigarette smoke, after complaining I got a better one.

I did not need much, so, I was completely satisfied with my choice to stay there. Because of COVID, I did not want to inconvenience my cousins and my 101 year old Aunt....or put them or myself at any risk. Franco was 👍!

Accessible location, breakfast included at the hotel bar, comfortable bed, good view. Had a single room with private bathroom (201) which was perfect for my need
Fan and aircon were dysfunctional and didn’t work No hot water in the shower (but ok in the sink) Cleanliness could be better Hotel and room is overall dated and would need renovation No liberty to fully come and go (leave keys at counter)
