Hotel San Giorgio

This is the very nice hotel in Campobasso. We stopped here on our way to Rome because my husband’s grandfather was from Campobasso. We climbed the hill to see the old Norman castle and 2 beautiful old churches. It was a fantastic view of the city. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was great. Manuele and Marangela were so friendly and helpful. They spoke English very well. And the main reason to stay at this hotel is Luigino! He made our stay here so special. We ate at the restaurant and our food selections were delicious. Breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy. They had everything you could want. We highly recommend visiting Campobasso and staying at this hotel. When you stay here, be sure and say hello to our good friend Luigino!

Good location, free and big open parking, nice staff. Welcome drink (tea I suppose) served upon check-in. The location is fine, close to the railway station but also if you plan to explore the city, including the castle.

The breakfast could have been better. I asked for the bread and there was none. In the morning they were reorganising chairs and tables in the breakfast room, and it was disturbing so I could not sleep (I arrived late at night).

The staff was very attentive, the place is super clean. Breakfast pastries were of excellent quality and appeared to be homemade. The place offers parking which is a big plus in this location.

Although the vast majority of the staff were friendly and attentive, some of the desk staff could use some people skills training. Nothing unpleasant transpired but the demeanor was less than expected, especially at the greeting point.

place was lovely, room was perfect, breakfast was great. Restaurant on-site is gorgeous and pretty high end.

The pool is new and really nice but there's no clear way to get into it. Have to either walk in along some slippery rocks, or sit on the edge and swing your legs over - as someone with a bad knee, neither wasn't possible for me so I didn't go in.

Although a period property, it had modern amenities throughout. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was beautifully furnished; the bathroom modern and exceptionally clean. It was next door to a supermarket. We ate in the hotel as the town seemed very quiet for a Saturday and the food was lovely but pricey. Breakfast was pastries, meats and cheeses. The fresh fruit was very refreshing.

There was no shaver socket to charge a toothbrush.

Room was large and comfortable with a balcony. Location was good for day trips as well as for walking into center of city. staff was efficient and friendly.

A dog in hotel barked a lot. mini bar was not restocked

Quiet neighborhood, comfy and cozy. Old city and Monfort castle within minutes of walking. Breakfast very very good, with a lots of fresh fruits.

The lady at reception was so pleasant and helpful. Our room was a decent size and bed comfortable. Breakfast ok too.

The dinner at night was dreadful. We both had pasta, I would not recommend.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff and at the same time vovid safe. The room was comfortable and extremely clean. We felt very welcome Good location to easily access centro storico of Campobasso and the surrounding borgos.
