Great place just 15mins away from Venice centre by bus (which is very frequent). A-M-A-Z-I-N-G patron, Michaela, who helped us throughout our stay with inside information on shopping factory outlets, transportation, Venice hidden gem locations and areas to visit (we would have missed at least 3-4 if it wasn't for Michaela). Special mention to her hospitality and can-do attitude to the point that one day she drove us to the nearest mall in her car (I mean, who does that in 2023!). The room was cosy and the bed/pillows were comfy enough. A touch-up of the rooms at some point would not be a bad idea but for now, they serve their purpose for a 3* hotel. Last but not least, the beautiful garden in frot of the rooms is a plus. We toured in spring so it was in full blossom.

Sound insulation in the property is not existent (this is not an exaggeration). We could hear everything from the toilet flushing to the shower water hitting the drain above (again,no exaggeration). I noticed this in other Italian "coutryside" accommodations (I toured 9 cities) and I guess it is just they way they are built. Walls and flooring (between floors) are paper thin. If you mind noises and/or are a light sleeper, take note.

If you're looking for paradise somewhere in Italy, this is clearly the place. Hotel Antica Fenice is a quiet, beautiful oasis with an 18th-century mansion, a fresh garden, a romantic veranda and, most importantly, absolutely incredible staff. I write this review with the most sincere intentions of the endless thanks to the owner of the hotel and her family who, in addition to looking for me all together in the middle of the night when I missed the last bus and found myself 10 km away without knowing Italian and the road back, also provided a room at half the price to me when they knew I was travelling alone, injured and also for work. I thought there were no more people like you. God bless all of you and your work. Hotel Antica Fenice deserves the highest praise in every way!!! Delicious plentiful breakfasts that one wants over and over again, personal tips from the hostess on all the sights, prices, people, and most importantly - everything is genuine, from the heart, with joy. THANK YOU!!!

This hotel is an excellent choice when visiting Venice and the surrounding area! I would give it 10 stars if I could for the great hospitality provided by all hosts (it is a family owned business) with a very warm and personalized experience. The bed has very comfortable mattress and it is very clean. The breakfast has been delicious with local cakes baked by the owners (I looooved the chocolate salami). The hotel and garden is cozy, private and perfectly located close to the airport but also only 10min by bus to Piazzale Roma in Vanice. Ideal location to avoid the touristy and expensive hotels and have the perfect and relaxing atmosphere for couples, friends, and family. We will definitely come back and recommend Hotel Antica Fenice to everybody looking for a truly local experience in Venice. Thank you Daniela & Michaela for a fantastic time in Venice! :)

When it comes to the property was really clean and the owner of the property was really respectful. The first time when we enter the building, we were greeted by the owner and they told us a lot of destinations that we were interested in going to. Overall dusty for us was really comforting and also felt like being at home. As for the breakfast, it was a very balanced, diet of fruits, carbohydrate, protein, and so on. When you come to our last day of the hotel, the owner came to us and give us the warm farewell and it was overall a overall a good experience.

There’s not much I didn’t like about the hotel. Overall, it was really clean and there’s nothing negative about it.

Hotel was excellent in terms of comfort , service, cleanliness and location. I recommend this hotel if your flight is arriving very late in the evening to Marco Polo airport as you can get bus number 5 right outside the arrivals. We were quoted nearly 90 euros for a taxi, but the bus ticket out of the airport is 10 EUR per person. Ironically , when you go back to the airport, the ticket is only €1.50 but that's how airport transfer works... Bus trip took about 15 mins. Remember to press the stop button when you see the bus stop coming up on the screen .. Orlanda Cavergnago and Sabbatino stops are both only 200m from the hotel which is a 2 min walk. (There's a Lidl on the opposite side of the hotel too; very handy for snacks) Buses 5 and 19 also take you to the main bus station from where you can either walk to the key attractions or buy the vaporetto (Waterbus) tickets. In the hotel itself we had clean towels every day (they cleaned the room daily although we did not request it) and when they noticed we had bought a bottle of wine the cleaners left us a pair of glasses. Breakfast is continental.

There was nothing I didn't like. It would be great if they also did evening snacks and bar as sometimes after walking all day you would like to sit in the lovely garden they have and buy a glass of wine. However, you can buy nice wine yourself from Lidl 😂 and chill it in the fridge in your room and enjoy the garden on your own too. Overall, I didn't expect anything special when it was advertised as three stars but I was very happy and would stay again if I come back to Venice. Next door camping site had a swimming pool and I would definitely use it if I came over in the summertime.

Totally recommended! Fabulous stay at this lovely hotel. Host Michaela was so attentive, friendly and accommodating! Thank you, Michaela for all your help, smiles, kind gestures and warmth. We totally felt like we stayed with the family! The location of the hotel is great - only 20 min by bus to Venice, same to the airport, bus stop few minutes away and service is frequent. We had a garden twin room, great beds, mattresses, bedding, we had lovely sleep. Heating, AC and WiFi all good. Breakfast was fabulous, plenty to choose from.. hot and cold options, E.g. eggs, breakfast meats, cheeses, olives, veggies, bakery items, different types of bread, yoghurt, juices, water, fruits, tea, coffee and more. In the Lidl opposite we were able to pick up few essentials for the day like water or snack. Also almost forgot to mention - the hotel is spotlessly clean!

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

We appreciated very much that the hoteldirector waited until late for our arrival by plane! Very nice service! The hotel is only a few minutes by car from Marco Polo Airport in Venice and easy to reach. We had just a stay-over before driving back to Belgium, but the hotel might be fine for a longer stay. The breakfast is excellent, with a large range of lovely prepared food and delicious coffee/cappuccino and other drinks. We absolutely loved the eye for detail on this breakfast!

A small bottle of water in the rooms for each guest might be a suggestion.

Everything! Michele and her family were such gems! Her daughter gave us some tips on some local markets since we got in on a friday night so we appreciated that and the bus info getting in and out of Venice proper (which was SO EASY with the bus stop being only a few hundred meters up the road from Antica). Our room and the facilities were what we had expected from the photos. Very charming and lovely. The breakfast was amazing! The savory tart was so good! Thanks, ladies!

Nothing. Everything was good and worked well for us.

Visiting Venice ain't an easy task but this hotel makes it much easier. The staff is super attentive and proactively helping. Superb Parking, Lidl supermarket, Bus destinations, green area, and ambient garden. Also, breakfast is robust.

The WIFI is not that strong but works. Some rooms pictures (of the entrance) were different than ours on booking.com. It has no impact at all on the experience but confuses it a bit. It would be good to have exact match pictures for upcoming guests.

The building is quaint and charming with a home-like feel. It’s in a great location for Venice, especially if you’re traveling by car like us. Roberta quickly became a friend to us, and her recommendations were all top notch. In particular, she recommended a restaurant called Trattoria Povoledo which ended up being our favorite restaurant (we ate there 2 of 3 nights!). The bus stop to Venice is just a couple minutes walk away, and Roberta helps you buy tickets. The room is small but has everything you need, and breakfast is great! All of the staff were wonderful and helped make our first stop in Italy fantastico!
