This place took a little finding, so well hidden was it amongst the maze of lanes and alleys that make up the old part of Barga. However, once inside we found a delightful apartment, and a very welcoming host. Clean, tidy and comfortable, with a mini bar and fruit and nibbles all included at no extra cost. Our itinerary only allowed us a stay of one night here, but we could have stayed much longer. Anyone visiting while the fish and chips festival is taking part must make time to visit - it was a real treat.

Cathy and Walter are the perfect owners of more than a perfect hotel. What a fabulous place to stay so much so we felt sad to leave and continue our Italian road trip. The extra touches to the room were exceptional, and the decor and location within the Barga walls were outstanding. We wouldn't stay anywhere else now and have recommended it to all family too. Great location and a lovely welcome from the owner, Cathy. We were unable to reach the hotel for the first night of our stay due to train strikes and Cathy was very sensible and understanding of our situation. Room is very well equipped and very comfortable. A selection of drinks and snacks are provided in the room and are included in the price. Very Stylish place!

A comfy chair or two would have been nice (there is a sofa but it the weather was REALLY hot and it had a vinyl type covering and wasn't very comfortably with the high temperatures). I just lounged on the bed, this really isn't a reason not to book! A lounge area was set up in a communal area just before we left so this would fix this issue.

The location of the hotel was fabulous, they do not do breakfast but do have a full mini bar in your room, a fruit bowl, biscuits and coffee machine. There is also a kettle! The mini bar has nibbles, juice, water, milk and alcohol and is replaced each time your room is made up at no extra cost to yourself! We felt this was a fantastic touch.

We were treated like family. Cathy, the hostess, was so helpful, from providing maps for our hikes to making restaurant reservations. There is public parking close by. Many restaurants and cafes are within walking distance. The hiking is sensational. If we are lucky enough to return, this is where we will stay.

Maybe a more powerful on the wall hair dryer in the room. This was immediately remedied by Cathy providing a full strength mobile unit.👍

The style of the hotel and the room is brilliant. , with lots of original pieces and a thoughtful layout. Cathy is a very hospitable host. Right at the centre of Barga Storico. While they don't serve breakfast, there's a very generous selection of teas coffees fruit etc provided.

Wouldn't have minded a larger cup for tea (being English :-)

In the very heart of Barga, silent, clean, classy, well managed (thanks Cathy!)

Breakfast missing but then Pasticceria Lucchesi is an absolute must and treat.

Great location - right at the heart of Barga, spacious modern room with everything you might need in it plus an extra room which we didn't expect and used as sitting room. Very helpful hosts, beautiful art collection in the lobby.

Being right downtown, at night it's a bit noisy, but it's part of the fun.

the Hotel is amazing, perfectly located within the old town of Barga, central to everything. Cathy was the perfect host and attended to all our needs and gave wonderful recommendations.

Great hotel, great hosts. My suite had a spectacular view of the town and mountains. The rooms were tastefully decorated and comfy. I look forward to visiting again.
