Grand Hotel Palace

All the staff at the hotel are welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful - upgrading us to a room with a view of the sea at no for no additional charge! Our car was parked in the hotel's garage and brought back to us on our departure. Breakfast was varied and plentiful - fresh and tasty! This is an exceptional hotel right in the heart of Ancona which we would happily recommend and only a short drive from Portonova on the beautiful Adriatic coast which is outstanding for beach and nature lovers alike! Thank you Grand Hotel Palace!

The only downside for us was the firmness of the mattresses but this is the norm in Italy and not a fault of the hotel's.

room was very hot even though the heating was turned off, I turned it down to 16 degrees C still very hot, opened tilt window helped, air conditioning was not working, spoiled our whole experience there tbh, nothing hot for breakfast, hotel catered for Europeans only, no big deal, just went without

Near to the historic core of Ancona so handy for exploring the lovely churches, squares and old harbour.

I booked the hotel as it was near the port and we were taking the ferry to Split. However we had to take a taxi from the hotel to the embarcation office before boarding. The boat was across the road from the hotel but the taxi cost E20 to bring us to embarcation 5 mins drive away.

Room was super clean and nice. Bed was nice and comfortable. Stuff was really helpful I also parked my car inside their garage which was nice and relaxing. You have to book in advance. Also if you travel by boat check in is 1,3 km away from the hotel, but you can check in park the car in the port and return to the hotel for a couple of hours until the embarkation.

All perfect. Maybe the room wasnt soundproof enough as I expected because I thought I was hearing small noises from the room next door

Exceptional hotel with spacious comfortable rooms and easy access to all Ancona has to offer. Professional staff courteous yet friendly, welcoming and more than pleased to offer help with navigating the city and all it has to offer. Food and wine are both exemplary as is the knowledge of the restaurant staff. Well worth a visit to sample the incredible wines. For a small appetite the tricolour salad is an absolute delight.

Sadly had to leave for the next stage of our journey.

Clean rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff. Mini bar in the room was free of charge (only soft drinks available) and it was restocked daily.

A/C was set to a default 20 C and when adjusted by 2 degrees up, it was resetting back to 20. Last night it got worse and it was defaulting to 25 C. Quite annoying.

Not only was a queen bed available, but we were able to check in an hour early. Our dinner in the Winenot wine bar and restaurant was very good, and we enjoyed wine by the glass to sample different varieties. Our room service continental breakfast had a generous assortment of cornetti, pastries and fruit. Every staff member was cordial and professional- We will certainly stay again.

Finding the hotel is challenging but they sent clear instructions along with the confirmation. It's not the hotel's fault, there is a construction project underway that reroutes traffic.

Greatest sheets and pillows ever. Staff was super nice, storing luggage until our evening ferry and letting us hang out. Hot water cooker in room, good wifi, spacious bathroom, quiet, excellent location for wandering the old Town and catching the ferry to Croatia. Excellent breakfast included with made to order omelets.

A very elegant and comfortable hotel, very friendly staff, beautiful (though quite small) room, complementary non-alcoholic drinks in the room, very clean bathroom with everything you need. Quite rich breakfast buffet with additional dishes that can be prepared at request, excellent coffee. Great location close to the harbor and the same time close to the old town.

Nothing to complain about

Everyone was super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was nice, excellent coffee. The room I had was quite large and the bed was really comfortable.

I liked everything here, the hotel is quite a walk from the town centre, but it was quite picturesque.
