It was a beautiful property. There was a balcony in our unit, overlooking the city. The spacious room was tastefully furnished. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was of good size, bright and clean.

Parking was very difficult. We had to park over a km away. The street outside of the property was dirty We understand these are not the fault of the host but it is reality of staying at this property. We think the content of the breakfast can be improved by providing more varieties, for example, there were just the sweet croissants and dry toast. It would be nice to also provide fresh bread that can be toasted. Some fresh pies or pastries or fruit would be nice, too.

Everything. A tastefully renovated Roman Palazzo with a crisp modern interior. A lovely room featuring a traditional balcony with seaview. Superb bathroom separated from the bedroom by a pocket-door. Host WhatsApp communications well appreciated, giving us location and security code for the front door. Once inside our bedroom was open with key in lock. Easily the best method of self-entry we have come across. Good breakfast and staff were lovely. A short walk into the old town for bars and restaurants and, for us, the train station. Would definitely return and recommend Esseneto Rooms to anyone visiting Agrigento.

Not Esseneto Rooms fault but a warning; Agrigento is situated on a steep slope, so be prepared for lots of steps.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. We had a room with a balcony with an amazing view. We could see the landscape around Agrigento and the sea. The room was sufficiently big and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very spacious and really nice. At breakfast we could choose from different kinds of delicious croissants and crisp bread with spreading. There was also a friendly staff member serving coffee. When we arrived the hotel owner gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants in the area and other helpful information.

Nothing, everything was great

Esseneto Rooms are a brilliant stay in the heart of Agrigento. Just 6 minutes from the Valley of Temples & 15 minutes from Scala dei Turkei, and a number of national parks. The rooms were also just a 9 minute walk from Via Atenea - the heart of the old city with its great restaurants, cafes & boutiques. Our host Ricardo was wonderfully helpful. The room was lovely, super clean & we had a little balcony overlooking the city. You can also opt for an Italian breakfast in the hotel. Just superb 👌

Everything was perfect!

Great location! There are some stairs to climb but it was very easy to access the main city. The view is absolutely gorgeous. You can see the sea as well as some of the Roman temples. We parked on the street and had no problem. The street isn’t too busy that there never was any parking. The staff was great and gave amazing recommendations. :)

The air conditioning wasn’t the best so if that matters to you, I would choose wisely. We just opened the windows and balcony doors to cool off.

The property was very clean & the owner Riccardo was very helpful. The views are wonderful - you can see the sea & some of the temples. We had a balcony with a lovely table & chairs, the shower & aircon were good & there was a fridge. The building & apartments are newly renovated.

If you are on foot there are stairs from the station or the historic district to reach the property but if you have luggage you can access the property without using the stairs. It’s easy to access by car.

The room was a new and fresh renovation. The man who received us was efficient, helpful and prompt.

We arrived early and wanted to drop our bags off, so we could go straight to the valley of the temples, however, the property was unattended until check in at 3 pm. Although it was only 280m  from the train station, which is why we booked it, there were 100 stairs to navigate. After realising we could not get in, we had to carry our bags back up the stairs, and then come back and hour and half later.

The property was very clean and comfortable. You have your own room and bathroom and share a living room and a big kitchen with someone else but this was no problem. The location was great, maybe a 15 mins walk from the old centre and you have a view of the Valley of Temples from the balcony. Super nice!

The main door is a bit temperamental, you need to shake it sometimes to open it which was a bit annoying. We were locked outside for 10 mins trying to open it.

the room is brilliant, the hotel owner clearly thought about everything you need for a comfy stay. the room is newly decorated, the shower is amazing, bed very comfy and also you have two different pillows to suit your needs. small fridge, tv and a balcony with lovely seating area and wonderful view from balcony. each two rooms have a shared living and kitchen area. this is by far the best room we stayed in this holiday

The property is recently renovated. and is very clean. At first sight the location look untypical for booking property, but when starting a walk in the city you understand that is very well situated. Rooms are rather small but comfortable.

Better ask for specific picture when booking as pictures in the property profile are rather generic. Clarify in advance any topics as the host speaks only Italian
