The Fog Munnar (Resort & Spa)

This resort is a great place if you want to spend some relaxed days in the Munnar area. We really liked our villa, the hotel facilities (swimming pool, table socker, …) and the culinary offering (nice breakfast, high tea, great variety of dinner options) that we extended our stay by one night. Highly recommended!!!

As written above: Fog Munnar is great, but I think that the following small details could be improved: - Spa music is playing everywhere. Guests have to listen to the same three piano songs at the lobby, the restaurant, the pool and even while playing table soccer or billiard. Me personally, I got fed up very quickly from this permanent jingling. - The gaming room needs some maintenance (feetless table soccer players, crooked tables, leaking roof, …) - For dinner, we ordered à la carte and always liked the food. However, waiting time was mostly long, even when the restaurant was not very busy.

Extremely clean and comfortable room. The hotel boasts beautiful views and very polite and helpful staff. Excellent food served by very helpful staff.

Appreciate the complimentary afternoon tea but the property could do with having some entertainment in the evenings. We booked the property through booking.com around 9 months in advance with the option of paying at the property on arrival. However, the property wanted an advance payment four weeks prior to the stay of INR5000 first and then increased to INR10000 stating it was a busy period. We were happy to pay the advance, but the property did not have facility to accept overseas payments. As it was at last minute the other property prices had gone up, tying us to this venue. We had to seek friends in India to pay. The hotel should have honoured the T & C s laid down by booking.com or at least have a facility to accept overseas payment if they intend to alter the T&S.

Dining experience was awesome. The food quality, taste and staff courteousness is something to remember. Shout Out to Braizil at the Alaska Restaurant who was quite proactive in guiding us with the menu and made some delicious suggestions. Also Lovely (Senior Staff) was very helpful. Also like to mention Beena who was at the Front Desk, she was quite courteous and made us feel comfortable. Thank You.

1. The management can work a bit on Room Decor and carry out some maintenance work. 2. The Staff can be a bit accommodating in terms of taking any special requests. Example, we had 3 Rooms and asked the Front Desk if we could check out a bit late by an hour in any one of the 3 rooms but they outright said that all rooms were booked. What I felt odd is that they didn't even look up the system to check.

Buffet Breakfast, Room cleanliness, Location etc

Facilities in the room was a bit disappointing. The Freezer was not working in either our rooms. We contacted House Keeping but didn't get resolved. Also TV, the remote probably was not working properly either a dead battery or some other issue. But honestly these problems didn't cause any disruption to our stay. I would still recommend this place to my friends and relatives as it is a very family friendly Resort with great staff, food and location.

The intention of my trip was to have a quiet and relaxed stay at a property which is safe for me and my family, provides a relaxed atmosphere, good service, and value for money. I had apprehension earlier while selecting “The Fog Munnar Resort and Spa” property. However, I got in touch with Mr. Nibin, the Reservations Manager, who was very responsive and was able to remove my apprehensions. On reaching the property, I was even happier with my choice. The customer-oriented service approach, the staff’s responsiveness, cleanliness, and the service provided by the restaurant’s staff (Mr. Sony, Mr. Rajesh, Ms. Lovely, and all other staff members who served us with a smile) were things that makes us plan to come back to this property once again. With regards to food, as we were vegetarians the options provided was good and the food offered were delicious. On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those staff whom we had interacted during our stay and made it a comfortable experience.

Would have liked a service offered to those guests, who would like to go out for sightseeing, wherein a sightseeing trip to nearby places could be arranged for a nominal price.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights here. Great location with beautiful view from the room and sunset as well. Staff was exceptional: friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of dishes to choose from to satisfy all tastes. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience, and we really liked the time spent at this resort.

Hotel based south of Munnar with very pretty views of the hills and local tea plantation. Not too far from Munnar which was good to explore. Room had great view and was very spacious. Food was very good, breakfast had a mix of Indian and continental food available. Staff were good.

Hotel dinner opening was very late (7pm) many other places I've stayed in India dinner opens from 6/6:30pm.

Location and ambience very good. Fog moving over the mountains is a spectacular scenery from the balcony of the mountain view villa. Property is very neat and staffs are very courteous Quiet and calm ambience. Spa is good Overall a great experience in Munnar

Since the area is away from town, better you should have vehicle. Breakfast is good Not much option for lunch and dinner

We loved our stay here with kids. Everyone in the family was blown away by the hospitality and kindness of the staff. Breakfast had a lot of good vegetarian options, we also had dinner here a few times and we loved it. The location and views from the place are amazing and made our trip memorable.

The Fog munnar is undoubtedly one of the most surreal places one can stay at. The view from the rooms is absolutely breathtaking and you can never get enough of it. Icing on the cake is the super supportive and humble staff, that gives you a warm welcome and make your trip memorable. All the staff members including the wonderful lady at the reception, Santosh from Siliguri were super sweet to us! Great work! Can't recommend this place enough ❤️
