Novotel Ahmedabad

The property was exactly as expected for a Novotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the staff were very helpful. Having access to the pool on the 3rd floor was also a great bonus to escape from the busy streets. The hotel had security 24/7 and checked bags in with an airport style scanner and metal detectors. The food options were vast and buffet style which was really good and the options changed daily.

There was an unpleasant smell in some areas of the hotel but luckily not in the room. We had a room on the 5th floor and could still hear the horns from the road, probably not the hotels fault but bare that in mind.

Room.view was excellnt. Breakfast spread was good . Food quality excellent . Chai was like home made freshly brewed with ginger Even the Ala carte chicken dishes, were made to suit our taste . Room was overall.okay Housekeeping was fair.. Restaurant staff courteous ..

As 3 adults, had asked for an extra bed, which was hard and uneven,so had to adjust 3 adults on 2 single beds, not queen size beds. This has never happened before in any hotel . Requested for a room with extra large double bed,but was told no room is available.due to holiday season.. Request fior a regional Marathii TV Channel was dismissed as against hotel.policy. . Bathroom very dull and no magnifying mirror. Improvement needed on some fronts

Hotel was for me in perfect location. Not far from congress hall of my conference and One Mall where you can make great shopping. The stuff was helpful and easy to communicate. Rooms comfortable but need a bit of renovation. Hotel transfer from and to airport is very comfortable (for additional price). Breakfast was normal. The best was masala tea, which was the best I tried in India. I can recommend this hotel.

A bit of renovation of the rooms needed.

Comfy bed, clean (apart from a few stains), big window for natural light, some toiletries and dental kit provided, the lounge is a nice place to sit.

Staff were always vague and non committal on the phone so not very helpful. They also walk off mid conversation if a member calls them as they're more Important than you. Attention to details is missing, our room had stains on the headboard and carpet, the cues for the pool table in the lounge are all missing the ends and the white ball is pitted is lumpy. The food in the lounge goes cold v quickly and sits there all evening.

Hotel staff were very accommodating to our needs and very friendly. Breakfast range was great, especially for the kids. Location was great as it was central to all the places we wanted to visit during our stay. There were good places nearby within walking distance like an ATM, ISCON mall and the ISKCON Temple with the lovely Govindas restaurant. Room was a very good size especially when it came to packing our suitcases and it meant kids can either be distracted watching TV or sleeping quietly one side of the room whilst we carry on the other side.

Our room was on the 5th floor under the floor of the smoking rooms so our bathroom had a strong smell of smoke which wasn't pleasant when you have young children.

The rooms were of a high standard. My husband had a problem with the shaving socket in the shower, and it was solved quickly by the staff.

Breakfast is additional and was at an extortionate price. For our first day, there was no space downstairs and we were kindly allowed to use the lounge. Unbeknownst to us, the range of food was inferior to what was downstairs. The next day we went to breakfast earlier.

Location, amenities, food, security staff, live singer and musician, etc. Everything is awesome. FOOD is MUST to try...breakfast, a variety of choices.

1) Manager is doing jobs of other staff during check out since many rooms are getting vacated almost at the same time. 2) I don't think that the quality of the scanner at the lobby entrance is up to the mark. There are scanners such as TS-5030A x-ray scanner that are being widely used here in Dubai.

the breakfast was so good could'nt wait for the next morning for the scrumptious breakfast. The room was sparkling clean every monring when we returned from breakfast and the location was very very good

i liked everything about this beautiful hotel situated in just the right place to shop to eat and to walk about this beautiful area meeting people.

The staff is very polite and very welcoming. Any questions and they are trained to answer. I had gone with my 8 month child, the in room dining served us baby food for all 4 days without cost. The khichdi they sent was delicious than we make at home. Special mention of Aman, Ram, Adwaith and Huzaifa for their outstanding support in my stay. It was a stay to remember with 2 kids.

Got a surprise upgrade from a standard room to a studio suite- this room was massive! Soft and comfortable bed. Room was quiet. Shower hot! Executive lounge was small but comfortable. All staff, from reception staff to housekeeping to executive lounge, were lovely and very accommodating.

Not much other than being the hotel location being a little further out of town.
