Thomas Hotel Budapest

The breakfast was to poor for the money but the stay was a pleasant one ;)

No fridge inside the room, extra payment for parking, breakfast too poor for the extra payment.

The hotel is close to Corvin metro station, also it was very close to the river (10 mins on foot), so the location was perfect for me. Aldi supermarket is 2 mins close to the hotel. There is a conditioner in the room which is very good when it is 33° outside. The room was large and clean. A garden view. A big bathroom (in fact there is a shower). There is an elevator. Very good price for this accommodation. Also, Corvin plaza is 10-15 mins on foot from the hotel. There is a luggage room available. There is a green area (a tiny garden) inside, which is perfectly fresh and shadowy for waiting for the check-in in the hot noon. There is a desk and a chair.

No hairdryer, no kettle, no fridge in the room. The windows looked at another building, so people inside were very well seen :) The windows looked on the inside garden where people communicate a lot, so it was a bit noisy if the windows were open. If the windows were closed, it was okay. A bit aged building, furniture. The reception doesn't work at night, but the security helped me to check out at 5am in the morning. Also, I arrived very early before the check in time, and the staff refused to check me in until 3pm (which I expected as I read the reviews).

Location: The location of the hotel Thomas is very good, as it is very close to the city centre area. Public transport is very easily available and very close to the hotel as well. Trams 4 and 6 are a 6-minute walk away, and if you are coming from the airport, then you have to take the 100E bus, which gets down at Kelvin tar m stop. Either you can walk from that stop, i.e., 18 minutes, or you can take buses like 934, 935, or 935a, which will drop you at the stop, which is just a 5-minute walk away. Room: The room was spacious and clean. Toiletries and towels were provided. Housekeeping came daily to collect the garbage bins. I had two single beds in my room, and they were very comfortable. Also, the air conditioner in the room was working very well. You can use it as a heater too. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. I checked in late at midnight due to my flight delay. But the lady at the counter was courteous and smoothly completed the check-in process. The wifi speed was decent, and it was easily accessible inside the room. Breakfast was served between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., but we did not have it. The price was 9 euros per person.

Although a very minor thing, if you are not careful while using the shower in the bathroom, then the water can leak outside the shower area in spite of closing the doors. Somehow, the shower area was not foolproof enough to stop the water from going out. I would have also liked it if the towels could have been changed after 2 days.

Location is very nice, close to the tram and subway stations..Owner and staff were kind and helful.The room was clean and big enough. Bed was comfortable, pillows could have been better but they were okay. Air conditioner was working properly. There was no hair dryer and kettle placed in the room but we asked for them and helpful staff provided them right away.. There is no fridge in the room but they allow you to use the small fridge located in the lobby. As a family with a toddler we would definitely prefer this hotel again next time we visit Budapest as long as they keep the price affordable as it is now.Thank you:)

Very happy with the stay! Room was spacious, enough daylight but also liked the efficient curtain that blocks well morning light so that you don't need to wake up with sunrise before 6am ( had this in other hotel in city and it was a bit annoying). Hotel is in residential, semicentral location that has plenty of local restaurants (not tourist traps like sometimes in centers), good public transport but also completely walkable. Aldi, drugstore, Danube river park and even sexshop like 5 minutes walk from hotel. I would return:)

The location is excellent and I realized from the review I saw on booking.com almost things are different I mean this is a budget hotel and I booked this hotel as economical and the best, rest room, toilet, etc are good. The people who are writing negative comments I think they are not actual travelers like me I am traveling every month to 2 or three EU countries every month and for me the price is best and at this price, you'll get what they have for more comfort try to find more expensive.

I didn't find massage services and when I was booking this hotel I see first the spa services.

Good location near the city centre, just 3 metro stations away. There are caffe bars and shops near the hotel where you can have everything you need. The room had enough space and it is comfortable.

Parking in the garage costs 15 € per night which is a reasonable price. However, it was not clearly highlighted and communicated before the room reservation. And the garage is really narrow! Despite I liked our room, the property needs some refurbishment. There was no hairdryer in the room.

Great location, excellent value for money, comfy bed (real double rather than 2 singles put together), clean, good shower and soap. My room was very spacious, luminous and quiet. Simple but functional. The lady when I checked in was very nice and helpful. I like the little attention (welcome postcard). I'll happily stay here again if I come back. Interestingly, I then moved to another hotel that was more than twice the price (for work), and it was not as nice! It looked more fancy (carpet etc.) but my room was dark and noisy, bed was two singles put together, and it was generally not as comfy. I didn't sleep well at all in the other hotel!

Some people mentioned in other reviews the smell of cigarette if you open the window and are just above the entrance of the hotel, as people smoke there. I confirm. It could be easily fixed by asking people to try to avoid smoking in front of the hotel. My TV didn't work. That didn't ruin my stay :-)

The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The location was good although we have used taxi every time to reach hotel. There can be more options added to the Breakfast. There was air-conditioner present in the room but in non working condition. Although the fan was available at the room which served the purpose. We booked two rooms. In one of the rooms, there was one curtain missing so traffic light was coming to the room for the whole night.

It's a good hotel in a quite neighborhood. It's approximately 30 min walking distance from city center so location is good. Overall clean rooms but slightly worn furniture, it's age is starting to show. Rooms are big enough and for the price it is good value. A good place for value oriented travelers. Many small restaurants around, food supermarket is close by. There is also paid car parking 5 min. walk on the same street. Parking was something like 25 Euro per day in forints of course, not cheap but at least there is where to park if you travel with car. Overall good stay but not great. Buy hey what can we expect for this price in Budapest :)
