If you weren't out on a night out then you might get some of the guests arriving back in the early hours of the morning being noisy, but this is to be expected.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy with decent showers. The rooms were tidied everyday as beds were changed. You have your own curtain across your bed, which is great for changing, especially in a mixed dormitory. Plenty of space and storage. Amazing cafe next door called Blue Bird for brekkie…

I wasn’t worried but be aware that it is a party hostel so if you’re looking for a quiet experience, maybe stay elsewhere. Even if you didn’t want to go out at night, it had a friendly atmosphere with lovely staff as well as lunchtime trips to places in groups. Lots of options.

Ok so I planned A trip to Budapest and I had to choose where to stay so I checked booking for social hostel so I can come alone and make some friends there I saw hostel one Budapest ranked really high on all parameters and I just did when I got there Jorgebenitez checked me in and introduced me to the other guy who checked in with me so it was easy to get a new friend when I just got there, All the other stuff members been helping me alot the stuff names:mauro(the hostel menager) who recommended me a gym to go and train while I’m 1 week away home and it was really good gym and really close there(corner 4% fitness go and train the is a small nice gym you should take the 1 week deal) can’t forgot rob,Andy, marina, and I can’t forget the most kindes vulnteers talya and amber from Australia, and btw don’t worry Jorge I’m gonna come and pick my free beer and I hope it will be Asap😂

The staff at Hostel One Budapest were so incredibly lovely. They made us feel so welcome and were always around for recommendations and advice but more importantly they would chat to you, ask you how your day had been, and get everyone united and excited in the evenings. I didn't meet a single staff member who wasn't a delight to interact with. On top of this, the location couldn't have been better - minutes walk from the ruin bars, the supermarket, museums and bus/metro stations made the stay simple to navigate.

The hostel wasn't the most sophisticated I've ever stayed at - the room had a static noisy air conditioning unit, there were a couple of power outages and a problem with a leak from the upstairs neighbours - but this was more than made up for by the way the staff dealt with every problem and the general friendly, amicable vibe created. I would choose this hostel over a "swankier" one any day of the week.

The people are the gem. Just wonderful. Both personnel and fellow travelers were so friendly, which was exactly what I hoped for! Honestly, that made me overlook tiny deficiencies. The common rooms were just great and the staff would create three daily activities to spend time together. The bathrooms were clean, there were lockers in the dorm room. The wi-fi was reliable, if one hotspot was not working, you could connect to another one.

I missed the option for breakfast. The bunk beds did not have space to store clothes and personal stuff along the bed, which is what I have seen in other hostels and missed here. Not having toilets and showers in the dorm room is a minor inconvenience as well. The mobile air condition was very loud, can be compensated by ear plugs. I also hoped to get towels, but I guess this is compensated by low accommodation price.

This was the best hostel I’ve stayed at! The hostel runs group activities & allows you to get close to other hostel members as well as the staff there. Met so many great people and had a great time. Felt like a little family here. The bathrooms and rooms were clean & had air conditioning. Staff were extremely accommodating and welcoming. Beds had curtains which was great for some privacy & lockers! There were comfy and social areas to sit at and a bar for some pre drinks before hostel outings. Great spot for any solo traveller! Highly recommend:)

The staff was so kind and helpful! Shout out to Marina for our late night talks, Rob for all the info about the best places to visit, and Jorge and Mauro for helping me with my spanish or anything else that I needed help with. These people are truly so kind and will help you with everything you need. The beds are comfortable, the bed curtains are a big plus, and the bathrooms are cleaned everyday. You just have to realise that when you are staying at a Hostel, you can not expect the peace and quiet you have at home, so when someone complains about that it makes absolutely no sense. The best clubs are near and there is good food on every corner. If you are a shy person I would recommend it even more as it really helped me get out of my comfort zone, especially thanks to the staff. See you guys soon!

Anki and I had a great time at Hostel One. The hostel has a great location, is clean and tidy and all the staff are super nice and helpful. Through the evening programme, the hostel manages to create a unique hostel community. In the end, you are practically friends with everyone (stuff and guests) and spend a good time together. You also get to know the city and the bars and clubs in the evening. Watch out for Rob, the bartender, his homemade drinks are dangerous. One is enough for the whole evening! So thanks to the stuff, Rob, Izzy, Zara and Mauro (from Asia) for having us. It was unforgettable!

First off all the staff was amazing. From the second I walked in the doors I felt welcomed with open arms. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels I have never had such a great staff! Big shoutout to Rob, KiKi, Anna, slomo, and Dianna. I’m sure I’m missing some names but all these guys made me want to come back 100 times again. Also if you’re looking for a great tour guid, Rob’s your guy!

Definitely some electrical issues with the property. My electricity went out almost every night in my room, it was a quick fix and definitely not the end of the world, but also not very convenient.
