I needed a placce to work comfortably for a conference in Syros. I was upgraded to an apartment in the last floor; the host helped me with the baggage, and took me to an apartment with a mezzanino. I imagine some guests would not enjoy it, for the wardrobe was in the up floor, and I would have to take the luggage with me if I wanted to use it; but, in my case, I just left my bags in the down floor and enjoyed the experience of a well equipped flat with a small varanda. A piece of advice: if you arrive from the harbor, face the city and take the street in your left to climb up smoothly to the apartment; if you take a street in your right, you will have to carry your bag and face stairways, rather than just leave the bag wheels work for you. The location is also very convenient, close to restaurants, stores and supermarkets, and even so in a quiet and safe place.

The stairways can be a problem for people with movement limitations.

We booked a room last minute (at 1am) for a 4am arrival from an overnight ferry and was surprised and in luck to be kindly greeted upon arrival on the street to make sure we had the right turn to the front door. We were touched by the kindness overall and so incredibly grateful for the last minute booking. thank you!

Close to the port but up on the hill a little bit. Owner met us outside. Room was on the top level and had good security. It had an a/c however no fan so the top level of the split level room was warm while the bottom level was cold.

It was at the right place, checked in very easily. Room ready even earlier than expected.

Everything was perfect.

Very kind owners who did their best to make our stay pleasent. Clean room in a quiet street, good air-conditioner, plenty of hot water.

Not enough towles, no free shampoo

The host family is so charming! I would’ve loved to speak greek to be able to have a nice conversation with them. The man in charge of the apartments was waiting for me outside the apartment once I arrived in the ferry. He showed me every thing. The room was quite nice and cozy. Great location.

1. I was quite disappointed when I so the equipment of the kitchen. Sadly there are no cooking pods, pans or anything to cook really. There is just a small oven and an electric stove, but nothing to cook with. There are glasses, cutlery and plates. So when you read "shared kitchen" and imagine yourself cooking something, I’m sorry to say this, but you won’t be able to do so. Other minor details: 2. The shower head has no support, so you have to hold it continuously while showering… it isn’t the most confortable of all. Also it is really easy to get the water out of the shower, so be careful while showering hahaha. 3. The bathroom has a top window that is out of reach, so it is imposible to close (apparently there is some part that is open, so you could feel the cold air entering the bathroom, this made it a little bit cold).

Location good - near the front and town centre and ferries. Up quite a few steps, but that's just how the town is, not the fault of the apartment.

Its a 2 star rating, so I expected some random furniture, some broken light fittings at the back of cupboards, an aircon that works fine but also occasionally spits water at you, that kind of thing. Very little natural light and the only outside area is totally enclosed by walls, but again its not advertised as having those things so fair enough. There's a reasonable kitchen - 2 rings, oven, kettle, coffee maker, microwave and enough plates and cutlery to manage but absolutely no pots and pans so you can't cook anything. I asked for a saucepan and they provided one in good spirit and they're very friendly and helpful, so not a major problem. Its basically OK for a 2 star; I feel I paid over the odds for it but that may be because I booked it at very short notice.
