Boutiquehotel Schloßpalais

Our lovely room had beautiful view of the castle and a church, which provided sweet sounding bells that announced the time. The swimming pool was awesome! Breakfast was extensive, offering lots of choices in addition to a typical German breakfast of rolls, cheese and meats. The staff was lovely-welcoming and patient. The location was fantastic--quiet, but right on the edge of the beautiful old town, which is full of great restaurants and shops. The onsite parking made coming and going very easy. And the Harz Mountains are a very special part of the world, with great hiking options and beautiful neighboring towns such as Goslar and Quedlinburg.

Our bed was a bit uncomfortable.

The stay was great overall. The personnel were very helpful and informative and the whole atmosphere very quiet and cared for. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and everything worked perfectly, also the hot water. We also had a terrace and the room was located very near the elevator and the dinning room, but we didn't hear any noises. Breakfast was abundant and had many options. We really appreciated that it was not a buffet but you could order what you wanted to eat from their menu so there is less food waste and everything we ate was freshly prepared. The pool and saunas were very clean and tidy. There is a wet Turkish sauna and a dry Finnish sauna (outdoors) with enough capacity. The circuit was easy to follow and even if it is small is enough for a relaxing day. Also, we could use the installations as much as we wanted giving notice to the receptionist.

Overall is in a good location, but close to a main road. Our room had a terrace that had a great view to the castle and old houses of the city, but was just in front of the parking lot which can disrupt the atmosphere and from there the sounds of the cars can also be heard. Nevertheless, the rooms are well isolated and inside was totally quiet.

The room was well appointed and clean. The balcony with the view of the castle was perfect. The parking was very good. The hotel is very well situated and is only a short walk to the centre of the town. The staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was a real bonus and we used it a couple of times during our stay. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, staff is super friendly, very good breakfast and the restaurant looks stunning. Radio in the bathroom is a perfect idea and mood maker :) The pool was empty and the water was warm

There was a VERY high humidity and chlorine smell around the pool, and it was hard to breathe for me as a person with an asthma. I've been at other hotel's pools, and it was different

What a great hotel. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice sized balcony with a gorgeous view of the castle and local church. Within easy walking distance of stores and restaurants in the beautiful town. Free parking on the hotel grounds. Breakfast was delicious, made to order and brought to our table, I loved having a full pot of coffee waiting for me. We will stay here again!

We wished there had been a bar on site to relax in during the evening, although they do have a refrigerator with wine available in the basement.

Upscale accommodations, easily accessible parking with elevator to rooms, outstanding breakfast incl. made to order eggs, salmon, smoked trout, excellent coffee, and lots of typical continental breakfast choices. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Not all rooms with a “view of the castle” have a view of the castle. On first floor, only rooms 14 & 16 have the view shown in the photos. Rooms 12 & 18 have a nice view of trees blocking the castle. Not the fault of the hotel that trees grow, but when making a reservation, it’s helpful to request a particular room if you want the “castle view.” Not downgrading the hotel for it, Mother Nature grew those trees.

Old money hotel, quiet and clean. If you want slow morning with served breakfast thats place for you. As well as swiming pool and sauna.

Breakfast was not enough. Should be more fresh cooked dishes like mushrooms and porrige.

The breakfast was made to look very fancy. We had ordered a few items that were never delivered. Not sure if they forgot or what happened. The pool is very nice and perfect temperature. Great spa area to relax.

The boutique hotel was very clean, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was great, location perfect and the staff was awesome.
