Mercure Hotel Hannover City

Great location. good clean hotel. comfortable beds. good breakfast.

we booked this hotel specifically after checking that they had parking. however, once arrived (after 8 hours driving) we were told that their car park was full and we should park in another car park and pay for it. not at all ideal when you travel with small kids and were assured they have parking! so if you are looking for a hotel with parking this hotel is not for you. there was another familly who traveled from far and were also told that there will be parking for them, but there was not. so it looks like an ongoing problem and that customers are being misled deliberately in order for them to book this hotel.

Great staff at reception. Once we got a feel, access to old city was a breeze; plus, Landesmuseum next door and Neues Rathaus and beautiful walking park directly across the street. Finally, public transportation was clean snd efficient!

Breakfast was excellent although I personally think the Covid precautions were a little excessive, forcing us to eat in a distant meeting room because of the need for social distancing. I had previously stayed in hotels in Frankfurt and Frieburg and your hotel was the first one to ask for my Covid Pass and where the staff wore masks. Very professional at all times too.

The bar could have been open! After a five hour drive to get there a nice draft beer would have been perfect. As I said earlier the precautions at breakfast were excessive, especially the disposable gloves to serve yourself your own food from the buffet. Hand sanitising would have sufficed with mask wearing.

Good location, just in the middle of the city, opposite to the City Hall. Clean rooms, but quite small. Good breakfast. The hotel has a garage, but you cannot reserve parking beforehand, so it is always a gambling. However, there is a public parking house, just 5 min away from the hotel, which is by the way somewhat cheaper than hotel garage. Pet friendly. Nice staff.

I didn't like the prices for the drinks in the hotel. I ordered a glass of red wine without asking for a menu/wine card. If I had of known how expensive it was, I wouldn't have ordered it. The staff didn't tell me the price, just kept filling my glass.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Walking distance to city center, and very close to the wonderful Ratshaus and park. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable as well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our requests.

Parking can be a bit hit and miss. More than likely you will have to pay or parking in the nearby areas, but may get lucky and find a free spot in the surrounding neighborhood.

The check in was quick and simple. We were able to communicate with all staff in English. The pet fee was reasonable. The breakfast was outstanding.

I only wish you could reserve a space on the garage early. We had to find street parking but got lucky and found a spot on a well lit road, not too far away.

it was clean and cosy… located in a close and pretty area! just in front of gorgeous city hall! :)

I had a feeling the towel I dropped on the floor to be changed just folded back in the rack when I got back to the room.

The location was within walking distance to the areas around parks and waterways.

Not the friendliest staff at front desk on arrival. Lovely staff when we had breakfast and on departure. I Area information would be handy. Parking full, but public car park not far.
