Holiday Inn - Hamburg - HafenCity, an IHG Hotel

Excellent sound proofing and convenient location for visiting the uber stylish Philharmonic Hall…Near metro for getting downtown. Great breakfast.

Hotel car Park has +/- 35 parking spots for 268 rooms so inevitably full before check-in time starts. Parking around hotel on parking meters can be done in 2 hour slots max and then you have to leave the whole area. 8€ for 2 hours on the street but free from 20:00 to 09:00. Bit of a dance getting the car parked therefore. There is an underground car park within 300 meters but it is not cheap for an overnight…Around 2€ an hour.

Location: close to metro station. Staff: helpful, friendly, and wonderful. Room: very clean and everything worked. Internet connection: fast, good for working. Breakfast: very nice breakfast. Everything there and early start so we had a lot of time for activities

When taking shower, the water splash spilled over to dry area of bathroom. Luckily if I keep the door open (I was travelling with my family so it's ok to keep the door open), it will hold the splash so it's not going everywhere.

I got exactly what I expected beforehand. Everything was very effective, from the reception to the room to the breakfast. The location right next to the U-Bahn is excellent. So, if you are simply looking for a comfortable place (where everything works) to rest while not being out in town, this is an excellent choice.

Nothing - except for the fact that you get exactly what you expected. You won't find "quirkiness" and surprising details.

The staff was very nice and hepful. The room very spacious and clean. Very well located, within walking distance from the main train station (about 20 min), but also a 2 min walk to the metro that takes u in the city centre within minutes. We made a spontaneous decision to have breakfast at the hotel and were very satisfied. Plenty of choice and tasty.

The hotel is located in a very nice area of Hamburg. All Covid measures were in place and I felt myself very safe. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. Tea and coffee were also available in the room.

The biggest issue for me is that there was no free space available in the hotel's parking garage. There was no possibility for me to book the parking in advance and therefore I had to park my car aprox. 500m from the hotel. This was very inconvenient.

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was mostly polite. Thanks to the waiters (gentlemen) at the restaurant and at the bar.

The lady at the reception warned someone entering the hotel who forgot his mask. That was okay but she was not polite (I can say she was rude). 10 minutes later I saw the same receptionist lady at the small room just behind the reception without her mask. That small room does not have ant windows and it is just 2-3 meters from where I was waiting. If the mask rule applies for a customer the same rule must apply for the employees.

room was quite spacious for a wheelchair driver; big and spacious bathroom; VERY helpful young man at breakfast reception who helped my husband out of bed and into the car

BIG MINUS: hotel entry does NOT have a ramp or entry for wheelchair drivers!!!! absolutely impossible! door to the disabled room doesnt stay open. falls onto the wheelchair

Great location, clean and safe, 1 minute from U-Bahn that takes you directly to the city centre, great facilities.

The pillows were a little too soft, otherwise everything was perfect.

Great location. Comfortable business hotel. Friendly stuff.

A little fridge was missing. Wouldn't recomend for a family with kids, as the room was not that spacious. For alone or couple it is perfectly fine and spacious enough.

I liked how easy it was to get to the city centre. everything was in walking distance

something about the soap they use on the sheets and towels, set off my allergies so my trip was a little ruined due to the blocked nose e.t.c
