Brit Hotel Essentiel Tours Nord

We chose this hotel primarily because we could charge our EV there, which worked perfectly fine. We arrived late after reception had closed, but with the instructions we had received to get access it was very easy to get into our rooms. In the morning we decided to have breakfast in the hotel, which was quite good. The lady at the reception was very friendly.

The rooms were a bit small, but we did not mind, being there just for an overnight stay. For the price we paid it was good.

The man at the desk was very helpful in advising us to travel into Tours on the tram and showing us where to get off and on and how much it would cost. He was very busy but made us feel very welcome.

In the morning at breakfast, it seemed as if there weren't enough staff to deal with all the guests staying for breakfast. The one person serving was trying his best to serve everyone, clean up and keep the self service area supplied with food, plates etc but it was just too much for one person to do. It meant people were waiting and had to ask for items which was a pity as the food was good and the breakfast area was fine.

Location and value for money

Check in was slow as the lady could not find the booking although we had booking.com confirmation and pin on the phone. Then she answered a long telephone call during trying to book us in. Hotel advertises the proximity of the tram to town but when we asked her where to go she said she didn’t know except turn left out of the hotel!

It was easy to check in and nice to stay for one or two nights.

the hostel was far outside of the city center, but with tram it works out. It was kind of hard to fix into the tram and bus system, maybe a discription of how to get to the hostel would help. Or maybe you sent it to me and I didn't recognized.

It was very good value for money.. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was bijou but clean and adequate for our overnight stop. Good continental breakfast . Happy to stay there again and to recommend. It's not the Hilton but neither is the price!

All was OK for what we paid.

clean and friendly, if you need an over night stop I couldn't find fault with this place. I arrived out of hours and checking in with the automatic screen was easy, the room was a reasonable size, not big but big enough but everything was nice and clean.

They were warm and welcoming. The whole place felt very clean. Breakfast very good. Bed comfortable. Quiet at night.

The only thing I could negatively say is the shower cubical was poor in design. The water flowed out of the shower on to the floor.

A convenient stop over on our trip from Dieppe to our home in Southern Spain. It was clean, they were happy to have our two dogs, and had on site parking. The staff we met were very pleasant. The property was also very clean.

Our room was a little small, but was clean and had everything for a one night stay.

24/7 service with parking and good facilities! Although we had an issue gathering the keys after check-in hours, the lady in service helped us immediately (~9 pm).

all good! we stayed 2 nights and this is a great point to visit all the castles! many things to do in Loire!

Very comfortable bed and good linen. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Tea and coffee provided.

It’s a budget hotel so wasn’t luxurious but value for money. My daughter did say her room had a bad smell apart from that it was a good overnight stop for travelling through France.
