Le Grand Balcon Hotel

Really good location, staff very helpful & friendly.

Very central location, close to the major sights. Good restaurants and shopping nearly. Train station was about 15 minutes walk and airport about 20 minutes by car. The staff were really nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety of items.

It was not easy for our Uber driver to get us to the hotel. It is a pedestrian only area with permission needed to enter the area. It became quite tedious and difficult, local police were not helpful. They asked us to move the car and were very angry that we asked for directions.

Good sized room and bathroom, water and tea available, amenities by L'Occitane, comfortable mattress. Right next to the parking place of Place du Capitole, they offered a discount for the stay. If you find the good sortie (Rue de Louis I think)its just meters away after you go up the stairs.

Very noisy workers that started cleaning early in the morning and would chat between them out loud. Unluckily, we had noisy neighbors too that didn't respect our sleep at all. We had to lift our luggage from the parking, which is on a basement, to the street outside because there's no elevator

Located right in the center of everything. Great access to activities and sights. Could not ask for a better location. Great Staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Terrific breakfast. Great selection and superb quality. I wish I could eat there every day! Decent room. I would stay here again, except for one thing.

My only complaint was the Air Conditioning was turned off for the season, which meant a hot room with poor sleep. And poor sleep is not a desirable feature in a hotel room! While the windows did open, being in a room on Floor 1 along rue Romiguières means keeping the window open isn't a real option, as the constant roar of scooters (which is completely absorbed when the windows are closed) prevented that. SO I would stay there again but would call first to see if they have the AC turned off. If it is, I will stay elsewhere.

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The bedroom was very well equipped with care and thought...bath, shower etc and the bed very comfortable indeed. Breakfast was available over three hours (Sunday) and was a great selection of delicious choices. The location was very central, ideal for the old city but the hotel was a very quiet despite the busy surroundings.

There was a problem when we came to part our hired car. The details sent from the hotel about parking included a map we could not open. The attachments were broken according to our computer. So we lost our way! However when I rang the hotel they suggested we make our way to them and collect a map and then park and it all worked well. We did have to rely on Google navigation to take us around the busy centre of Toulouse and the various closed and one way streets to find our way to the hotel. We had the same problem with attachments elsewhere too.

Perfect location on the Capitole in central Toulouse with wonderful service & a lovely lounge area with coffee almost 24/7 & complimentary pastries in the afternoon. The buffet breakfast for €18 is marginal but okay to start the day.

Lovely & exceptional front desk & lounge staff always willing to assist. Exceptionally clean room but a few make-up went missing so I just locked it in safe, not sure what happened. Having said that, always replenished bottled water, coffee, with wonderful Occitane amenities/products.

Fantastic room and lovely style, really enjoyed. Thank you! Amazing location, right in the middle of town where all the fun is to be had... great restaurants and ambience, and near the museums. Oh and a special thank you to the night staff who were very helpful with an early leave.

The parking is a bit of a challenge - you need to ask the hotel for a password, which you give to the gate for that part of town - and then drive through to the central parking under Place Capitol. Is actually easy to do once you get the hang of it!

Upgraded which was nice. Travelling with my 2 whippets from Spain and meeting my daughter who flew in from England for Xmas celebrations. Nothing was too much trouble from the smiling, friendly, super competent staff. I was not feeling my best, so it was much appreciated. The hotel was very central with Christmas markets outside, but an oasis of calm inside. I would happily stay again, if back in Toulouse. Thank you all!

Finally after trying several other (more expensive and very disappointing) hotels in Toulouse we found one that we can recommend! Location is bang on the main square, however the rooms are soundproofed so when you close the windows it is absolutely silent. Staff is fantastic, professional and the whole checking in and out process is seamless. The room themselves are exactly what you need. Everything is new and very well thought out and it has nice touches such as a Nespresso machine and some treats on the side. The bed itself is very comfortable.

A great choice for staying in Toulouse, where it’s good to be choosy. It’s right round the corner from the main square yet a very peaceful oasis. We had a cute and comfy little room with all the facilities in great working order and the most beautiful bath! This is a design conscious hotel so there are very cool features. We didn’t have time to relax in the reception bar but we would have liked to do so. Would be our number one choice when we return to Toulouse.

We had a little problem making the room cooler at night but otherwise everything was good.
