We'd asked for rooms on the ground floor which we were given, and we were able to park close to the rooms making it easier for luggage and getting the dogs to and from the car (x2 small/medium sized dogs). The accommodation is tired looking, but warm and the shutters block out traffic noise and light from the road nearby. Very comfortable beds and the location was great for our onward travel down to Portugal. Cleaning protocols very much in evidence. Saintes 'old town' near the river is great for a decent dog walk and it allowed us to enjoy the Christmas decorations, especially the pedestrian bridge.
Nothing to complain about, just that the accommodation does look rather old fashioned, but that's all.

Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good with enough choice. Staff pleasant. Location good for onward journey.
Felt the evening meal was expensive for what it was. No English written or spoken so we struggled to decipher what to eat and didn’t ever know the prices. The room and meal were considerably more expensive than the Camponile we stayed in at Bayonne.

Stayed one night en route to Spain. Near the motorway but you can’t hear the traffic. On-site restaurant and other restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Great for our dogs because there’s a field at the end of the road for them to have a run around. Would recommend for a stopover.

room was a bit tiny for 2 adults and a child +2 dogs :). The room lacked fresh air. interior was a bit ancient but comfortable and well kept.
