Hotel du Grand Parc

A nicely designed hotel. I was offered the quiet room I requested on the top floor at the back of the hotel. Breakfast on the terrace. No official car park, but I was offered the chance of parking along the back of the hotel. In the end I had to use my car in the evening and parked in the public car park, where you need a blue disc.

I was woken at 4.00 am by a noise from the back of the hotel, which repeated every half hour. I think it was the barrier to the residents' car park, although I'm not sure if anyone was actually working it. I had to insert earplugs to get back to sleep. I tried calling two taxi companies in Gex, but neither was interested in taking me a short distance to another address in Gex.

All was great, clean big room with balcony and A/C(restricted until the lowest possible +21).

Breakfast. Real drama, they bothering you with asking in advance by emails and calls what bread or croissant will you eat and how many(everything is counted until single unit!) no breakfast buffet, everything has to be ordered, each single piece of food discussed with serving person! Extremely inconvenient. Very miserable choice. Restaurant Vesuvio on site serves great Italian food, but very poor customer service.

We booked the family room, which turned out to be two separate rooms connected by a door and that was just great for our purposes. The parking was comfortable and easy, the rooms clean and comfortable. The walk into the pretty town is short and well worth one's while.

The breakfast is not worth it -- there is a nice bakery just a short walk away which we would highly recommend instead. The hotel is located right near a busy street which makes it easy to find and easily accessible, but which means there are no good views. Our rooms were quiet and comfortable though.

Located in the village of Gex, very close to the centre and 2 min from the bus stop. This made it very convenient for me as the Bus no. F connects directly to the Cornavin in Geneva. The neighbouring restaurant serves very good dinner menu.

The need to pre-order the breakfast meant that I missed it a few days. Because of the absence of a chef, there was no a la carte menu at breakfast.

The location was very convenient, very near to the bus line and town center. The room is very modern, clean and well furnished for a comfortable stay. You can sit and watch the mountains from the balcony. Truly recommended for a quiet and peaceful stay. The is a pizzeria downstairs, plus other restaurants are within 10-15 minutes walking distance or 1-2 bus stops away.

Everything was perfect. There is construction opposite the road but no noise or dust.

We booked a room for our friend with reduced mobility - super friendly and sensitive staff - spacious room perfectly adapted for his special needs - nice view on the Alps - he is looking forward to coming back :-)

The front door of reception was closed most of the time and a small entrance/exit had to be used most of the time to get in and out, not a problem though.

Helpful staff in lobby beside the pizzeria restaurant; comfortable room.

Currently (July 2022) there is a large construction site right next to the hotel which is between the hotel and the town of Gex, makes walking into town unappealing

Clean, quiet and nice place with balcony. Renovated about 3 years ago. Place for parking available. Geneva is not far and reachable by bus. Mountains and hills are around - nice place to ride bicycle in spring and autumn. Powerful WiFi for free. Comfy bed and nice shower. Nice staff

a little overpriced, but this is related to everything in this region.

THE staff responded to my baggage being delivered to the hotel and put it into my room ready for my arrival after BA left it in London instead of putting it on my flight, despite the hotel being a check in by Pin number as I arrived after the reception was shut.

Outstanding professionality and friendliness of staff, both in the Hotel and in the adjacent Vesuvio restaurant at all times. I had breakfast in the Vesuvio regularly and went there twice for dinner.
